He could just hand the ball back to the official after he scores.

I say that to solve this problem when AB scores WE should all just twerk and that way there's still twerking but the Steelers face no consequences. From now on I plan to twerk when AB scores as a statement of solidarity. If Kaepernick can show solidarity then so can I, right?

As others have said, I could care less about him getting a fine. If he's cool with paying it, so be it. But when it effects the rest of the team that's something that I have a problem with.
I'm honestly amazed he's never been flagged for his first down point and drop the ball. That seems like taunting more than some of the other things I've seen. I, like others, feel as though he should just act like he's been there before and hand the ball to the ref or spike it. Nothing wrong with the spike (yet). Not sure why they deemed spinning the ball a fine now though.
If a player is going to get flagged, make it worth it. Like Gay did last year. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/william-gay-redefines-excessive-celebration-on-pick-6-vs-bengals/

    THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

AB scores and the entire Crowd does the hip thrusts!

Seriously though he has to tone it back. He put himself at risk of getting thrown out of the game. Ref said one more and he's gone.

Yeah that's the new rule. Every game I've seen in which it has been called the ref announces that if another penalty of the same kind happens then the player will be automatically ejected.

What's funny is that if you get up and spike the ball after a first down it's a delay of game. But as long as you just drop it straight down, even if it's in a demonstrative fashion, then it's not a delay of game. There are a lot of players in the league that do that celebration though I think. Players celebrate everything these days.

I can just see my kids staring in horror if I was to try that. We may also have some of the more "seasoned" members of the board who may end up with a hip out of place.

I think we have to disagree on what is entertainment in an NFL game. A sideline tip toe finger tip catch for first down to me is entertaining. A player acting in poor taste and saying "hey everybody, look at me" is not entertaining, it is embarrassing. But that's just me. I also don't walk around with my pants half way down my butt.

Everyone has their opinion on what constitutes as entertainment. While some may not find these acts entertaining, others may.

All the more reason that the NFL has to be careful on what quantifies as excessive (sans the obvious such as using the ball as a prop or what Antonio did in Week 1).

I like player emotion. But these aren't guys like us, out tossing the ball around in the yard during halftime; they seem emotionally revved up almost to the limit all game. I can see a difference between (1) playing your hardest, and (2) being taunted, getting pissed, and doing something cheap/stupid/dirty.

No Fun League strikes again. I don't mind it just find it funny every off-season he's demanding more money but he's willing to just throw it away. I know it's peanuts compared. Maybe he's got a deal where the Steelers are on the hook for paying his fines so he's getting his money worth.

Keisel did get fined and flagged for it. Why do you think he stopped? I thought the league was stupid for their take on celebrations back then and I definitely think that they are hypocritical now.

I'm totally on AB's side, not because he's a steeler, but because he's a football player. Celebrations are nothing new to this league. What is new to this league...is the continued commitment of the commish to flex his control in watering down the league and being hypocritical.
Now, what Joe horn, T.O, and Chad did back in the day...would deem a flag and fine. Ex: Placing a cellphone in the goal post pad...really?

Especially when Borttles scored and punted the ball in the stands and the ref reached for a flag. Ref knew it should be flagged. He patted his flag and left it in his pants. Thinking that flag was in a sexually suggested position! Ref should have been flagged for having his flag too close to his DING DING. I watch Mike & Mike

Just hope one of these don't come back to bite us in the ass in a big game. If I were Tomlin, I'd start a team fine for this ****. What happened to showing a little class like the old guys just handing the ball to the ref.

Acting with class went away in society years ago. Just read the posts advocating classless behavior.
