Whats wrong with Ben

relax. he had 1 bad game. any of you refering to the cinci game as a bad game need to have your heads examined. 3 td passes in brutal conditions a bad game?...sheesh

Just my opinion... but if Ben is going to be considered an elite qb then he's going to have to play better then he has in the past two weeks. I expect more from him.

 

I dont expect Ben to play for 26 years and retire at age 48 like george blanda did, or earl morall 20 years and retire at age 42, but Ben is only 34 and still isnt close to being the oldest QB playing, carson palmer is being questioned by writers and fans about his age 37 since he is 1-2 and coming off a game in which he threw 4 picks sunday, and any QB regardless of age will be eratic in a game if he is under constant pressure, and I wont knock him for a game in the rain against the bungles where he threw 3 TD passes in a win, against the eagles he was under constant pressure and sacked 4 times with his receivers blanketed and dropping passes, believe me when I say without Ben we would have no chance of winning this year.....

 

Ben's passing AND awareness has been off the past two weeks. And this team is only as good as Ben plays because we have no reliable defense to bail them out anymore

 

He has 10 other players on offense that have to contribute for him to be successful, he cant be the scape goat for their mistakes, most of all he has to have solid Oline play to be safe in the pocket, and once again he didnt have a bad game against cinci , anytime a QB throws 3 TDs in a win he had a good game, whats wrong with you people.....

 

I agree that he didn't have a spectacular game in Cincy but throwing 3TDs in heavy rain isn't terrible either.

Yeah me too. I've watched it probably a hundred times and almost daily at work we refer to this, The Big Lebowski, and quite often Road House as well.

 

I agree, i was at the bengals game and the weather was definitely a factor. As for the eagles game, they executed the same game plan the giants used to beat the patriots in two super bowls... strong push from good DT's and quality edge rushers forcing the QB up in a pocket that doesn't exist. if you can get that kind of pressure without blitzing even the best QB's will fail.

 

I think we all understand that the Steelers will only go as far as #7 will take them. BUT he
needs help, and his skill level has eroded. It happens folks, father time has no mercy. Lets just hope
he doesn't start throwing to the other team alot as he has done in the past. We need some players
on(BOTH) sides of the ball to step up. AB can only take you so far.

 

Maybe LOLandry will change his name in court. Then the team may pay more attention how much he stinks Lady! Haha

 

I've not been so high on Ben lately but when you think about it these games are really won and lost in the trenches. You give most any nfl QB enough time to stand in the pocket and find a receiver, he will succeed. Our offensive line plays good one game and bad the next. when Ben gets that time in the pocket there is no better QB. Our defensive line is worthless on the other hand. When your defensive front can't put any pressure on the opposing qb, the
defensive backs can only do so much. Give Ben time and he will win for you. Still seems our coaching staff doesn't adjust to well during the game.

 

bell, heath, wheaton not practicing for weeks now, bryant missing. there thats whats wrong with ben.

Heath's back? Solid! Wheaton stunk up the joint and should have been eased back. Hopefully Bell can have a solid game. The O line best come to play and manhandle not get manhandled and Ho Hum Ben needs to be Elite Ben tonite. Let's see if there are any changes with this D adding more pressure.

yea, we need some time yet for this to all come together. alot more changes on both sides combined with youth takes time to gel together. it's getting there. i don't think the same thing would happen with philly later in the season. baby steps.
