I have been watching the steelers for almost 50yrs. and have suffered through some horrible and heartbreaking losses. But, for the life of me, I can't remember one time where they took us off the air because WE weren't competitive?!
Embarrassing and shameful. We have become one of those teams

So, like once in 50 years, isn't really that bad. Thank CBS for taking that debacle off the air.

A loss is loss, a win is a win. Even if it's by 1 or 30 points.

Hopefully, we play mad as hell next week.

I think it's a little to early to say we've become on of those teams. I don't see it repeating. It's not like they're having a season like the Lions in 2008.

people seem to forget, and I have posted it yesterday of the past 11 superbowl winners 9 had crushing defeats. Recent one was 2014 pats vs KC. We also lost 35-7 in 2011 to the raisins and still made the playoffs. Games like this are far and between thankfully.

When this becomes routine then it's over.

Yep. Someone said in the game day thread that championship teams don't lose these games. Pretty sure we looked ropey in 05 a few times though...

What was said is that last time a winning SB team lost a game like this was 2003, which is true. Look at the 4 games Denver lost last year - did their 4 losses even total 31 points?

Even if you don't want to worry about 1 loss, what you should worry about not getting HFA against the Pats because Pittsburgh isn't going there and beating that team in the playoffs.

It makes me laugh......THIS team is not going to the Super Bowl, unless they buy a ticket.

Everyone deserves an "F" for this fiasco with Philly. If I were the Rooneys, I would be having a nice sit down reaming of Tomlin immediately. Too many times Tomlin has not had this team prepared for supposedly inferior opponents. It is unacceptable and inexcusable. Tomlin's teams always seem to rely on other teams being intimidated by the big, bad Steeler persona.....well, pal....you've definitely been found out. You waltz in with your air of superiority, expecting teams to lie down and whimper....it does not work anymore. You instill NO fear in anyone. It used to be that opposing teams were beat up after playing the Steelers, not anymore. The Steelers are the patsies of the NFL. They are pretty, but they crumble when looked at cross-eyed.

"High powered-offense?" What a joke. Roethlisberger threw so many passes so high, even the announcers were joking, wondering when the Steelers drafted 10 ft. tall receivers. Brown caught one pass for a 1st down and tried his 1st down pointing down the field. That was it for me. I turned the channel, beating CBS to the punch. Defense? What defense? They sure did look pretty.

I think a looong season for the Steelers. Lots of publicity, blowing smoke, hoopla, but they look worse than the Cleveland Browns.

    Horrible, absolutely horrible.

In 2005 the colts and Peyton Manning blew us out on Monday night I thought that team wasn't very good and we made the playoffs they beat the bungles in the first game and I didn't even want to watch the Colts game so I didn't even go out something I'll always regret The moral of the story is it's only one game
