Actually there was talk of trying to bring smaller cruise ships into the burgh for that reason, but I checked the draft of the smaller ships and they can't make it up the river and through the locks.

I'm guessing you missed the line of conversation on here a while back on the subject of bringing in cruise ships for a potential Pittsburgh Super Bowl. Can't blame you, I'm not sure where the idea came from? But it won't work.

I'm joking. Heinz Field is a good Stadium. taxpayers who could never afford to pay for a ticket to a game are paying for it.

    1. No, we don't need a new stadium

    2. Heinz Field is still fairly young and in great shape

    3. It was just renovated and expanded for goodness sake!

    4. Who do you think is gonna pay for a new stadium???

The only new stadium you need to worry about is the one you can build in Madden... Love Heinz Field and want it to stay the same way. It is truly a home field advantage. While Dallas and MN stadiums look cool, would much rather watch a game in the elements at Heinz. I have been to 3 games at Heinz. Two were in rain mixed with snow and the other was the coldest temperature game at Heinz at kick off when they played the Pack. And I still had a blast.

My son & I went to his first game ever, and my first at Heinz Field.
Walking in, it was like entering a cathedral.
    I'd change nothing.

FWIW -- Back When I Was Young, I went to one game at Three Rivers. Don't remember much, except that we sat in the very topmost seats in the upper deck:

And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

Those who want artificial turf need to stop trying to sissify my beloved Steelers. This is western Pennsylvania we're talking about where football is supposed to be played in the mud, snow, rain and cold weather. Geesh...This isn't Florida, nor do I want it to be. It's all part of the Steelers experience.
