Lane Johnson suspension?

I hope they decide to start Lane Johnson's 10 game suspension before the Eagles game. He's their best O-lineman, and with our pass rush we could use all the help we can get.

Maybe we'll hear something tomorrow night since they're on MNF.

 

Pittsburgh could not get a sack against a Trent Williams led Redskins offensive line.


I doubt it will be any different with or without Lane Johnson considering Jarvis cannot do anything outside of converting speed to power. James Harrison can get you one.. but he cannot generate pressure all game like he used to.


At this point.. splitting snaps with Jones and Chickillo would not be a bad idea.

With this defensive philosophy, the don't seem concerned with sack totals. It will be different but effective. But, I think they are saving the blitz packages for better QB's.

 

I'd be surprised if we didn't see a few more blitz packages against a rookie QB. I don't think you want to sit back too much and let him get comfortable.

 

I'm going to say he gets notified this week that it starts on Sunday thus cementing the belief that there is a pro-Steelers bias in the NFL this year.
