Probably that they're less injured, and less "weedy" than we are.

honestly taking off the homer glasses I can see the skins winning. At home, tough hostile crowd, Steelers start slow, missing players, I can see cousins picking apart this D.

Agree with EmDiggy on the outcome, but I think it will be penalties, special teams errors and turnovers that will help the Redskins win. Cousins will have short fields to work with... Ben and offense will have terrible starting field position all game long (Steelers own 5-15 yard line).

Steelers will kick a bunch of field goals.. but field goals ain't gonna get it done. Typical September Steelers.

Disagree.... I think you're either underestimating our OL or you're still believing they're the OL from a few years back.

    Steelers win.

Steelers usually do well in the MNF contests.

What a statement to have to live with (Less Weedy) who could have
thought the Pgh Steelers would be thought about in this way. WOW.

Now, I could see the skins winning if we were saying without Ben....but , we as fans have seen our ability to win without Bell and Bryant. And I think we are in a much better position/situation this season then last season

I have some concerns about the Steelers keys to victory #2. If they force the Redskins to make plays in space, I hope the tackling improves or it will cost them at some point.

I agree to both sides of this. Either that we lose field position battle, penalties galore, turnover at worse possible time, freak injury, terrible calls by the refs OR Steelers offense flat out reinvents the greatest show on turf. Just depends which squad shows up on Monday. Probably both.

Steelers are like the stock you want to invest in. Highly volatile, high risk-high reward. I'm only just now getting into fantasy and pickems and all that and I've learned two things. Aside from AB and BB I wouldn't touch anybody on the Steelers in fantasy. And in Pickems/Survivor, picking The Steelers when they're playing "an easy opponent" is very unnerving.

All that said. Go Steelers! **** the ratbirds, bungles, clowns, cowgirls, and cheaters, and lets go 19-0 and bring home the 7th Lombardi and make run-on sentences!

Btw I missed the leagues here on TSF. Maybe next year. Got really busy and distracted around labor day weekend. Wah wah.

All good points and that is what makes this game interesting. But---

PIT did not lose a game to WAS throughout the Cowher era. This has continued with Tomlin. However, they have only played 5 times since 1997.

Now, unless WAS has drastically improved their recent D, no reason to not expect more of the same.

In the thread about predicting the score a lot of fans came up with 27 for PIT. That's what makes this game interesting, 27-x. Hopefully, the x is less than 24. Just how improved is the PIT D. If it's going to take 34-35 or more to win, then me, for one will not be to thrilled.

btw: You might have added that at times on the road the team [D] looks tentative, actually more like scared, okay if you prefer not confident. This is not good. Anyhow this is what is of interest to me.

    DATE

HOME PTS AWAY PTS SU RESULT H LINE ATS RESULT O/U O/U RESULT
    10/28/2012 PIT 27 WAS 12 W -4½ W 44½ U
    11/03/2008 WAS 6 PIT 23 W -2½ W 38 U
    11/28/2004 PIT 16 WAS 7 W -9½ L 34½ U
    12/16/2000 PIT 24 WAS 3 W 2 W 37 U
    09/07/1997 PIT 14 WAS 13 W -7½ L 40½ U

I noticed that someone posted the following at the end of their reply."Most of the time, the most physical team has a chance to win. That is not a reality we shy away from." - Mike Tomlin

How about lets start practicing what your preaching.
