That makes sense. I was in my late teens or early 20s when I had mine done.

My wife had her tonsils taken out several years ago in her early to mid 30s. The doctor told her the same that, saying that if she'd had it done when she was younger, she would have been up and about in no time, but since it was done in her 30s, she'd be in recovery for about 2 weeks. That's pretty much exactly what happened. It was pretty miserable for her.

 

Man I can't imagine getting my tonsils out at that age. I got mine out when I was about 6 or 7 and thought it was awesome because I got to eat tons of "Ninja Turtle Jell-O". At least that's what I called it. Turns out it was just regular old green Jell-O. LOL!

Also, I remember Green Jello (later changed to Green Jelly due to being forced by Kraft). I always loved the irony that they stated themselves to be the worlds only "video only" band, but release their album on CD as a soundtrack to their video.
