LOL!!! Well I guess I COULD. It's just that I'd have to pay a much higher price.

Surprised that no one said Timmons yet. Our passing defense would get shredded worse than last season if he goes down. Run defense would suffer as well.

Really some guys got behind Timmons a couple of times last night. The thing I like that he brings the most is his fundamental tackling ability.

    My top 3 are :
    Timmons
    Heyward
    Tuitt

Any of these guys miss significant time and our defense suffers greatly.

To me, Heyward and Tuitt are really one dimensional and Timmons is a two way player. JMHO.

I would say it comes down to Heyward or Mitchell. Our backup safety spot is a rookie and Shamarko... Plus that rookie is the starting slot, so an injury to to Mitchell would put either Burns, Grant, or a FA guy off the street into CB duty. Heyward is a better player and his leadership would be missed, but we can't afford to start having guys in the secondary start going down and Mitchell is our best secondary player

If we lose one of our d linemen at least we have so one to step in that can be serviceable.

I say our secondary completely falls apart a if we lose Mike Mitchell.

I completely agree about Mitchell. Since the secondary is the weak link already, losing Mitchell would make it that much worse.

At the very least though Ricardo Matthews has been very solid and LT Walton has Showcased improvement.

Granted is still does not decrease the shock value of losing Heyward.. but it is not as perilous as we thought it would be now knowing what have have in LT and Matthews.

Shazier needs to wrap up when he goes to make a tackle, he reminds me of Polamalu sometimes he moves around so fast but he misses too many tackles.
