So now there is news he isn't practing because of headaches and not his ankle. Rumors are he night retire or the Steelers might cut him and file to get his signing bonus back. This would be a huge hit to our offense and we would have to do something.

    Dear Heath,

If you could kindly un-retire, that'd be great.

    Your friends,

I would be over the moon if he did. Just out of curiosity would his contract be reinstated and thus the huge cap number as well if he did?

I'm afraid if Heath intended to stay retired, he may have shrunk too much to play football. A lot of those guys try to take weight off if they can.

Sounds like the Steelers didn't do a good enough job of checking Green out before signing him .

IF Green can't play, and the FO cuts him within the next two weeks they will file to keep his money. Reports say Green advised he was"fine" when he spoke about his concussions. If he lied, and that can be proven he gets zero. In return we get zero out of a deal, and missed out on other TE options. You take Bryant out and replace him with Green, and now he may not play, and you have an issue. If they have to part ways with Green look for the FO to make a move by way of a trade to get a TE, because James will do ok, he's not Bryant or Green, and that is concerning.

Not Pittsburghs fault that Green was not upfront with them about symptoms.

The Pats had the same type of situation with Jonathan Fanene a few years ago. They got some of the money back but still had to part with about $2 million.

It certainly does, doesn't it. I am having buyers remorse right now. Steelers need to see what he is made of,2 weeks into camp still
don't know? Not a good start for Green or the Steelers? I was counting on him to make 60 receptions this year.

Ok. So this makes 2 people we have signed recently that turned out to have health issues. First Boykin and now Green. Also did we know about Golson's shoulder when we signed him? Wasn't it hurt too? What gives man? Also I will text Heath later and tell him we're all wanting him to come back.

I told somebody the other day that I expected him to sort of function as a number 2 receiver based on the fact that I figured only AB would get more receptions than him.

The only TE out there that is worth anything is Owen Daniels but he doesn't fit what we are trying to do. Looks like we will be rolling with James, Grimble, and Johnson.

F@#$!! I really like Green a lot. He could be a monster here. I ain't even mad about Bryant because I know Coates is legit but we need a freakin TE.

It's hard to believe the steelers didnt know about his headaches long before training camp, i'm pretty sure the chargers knew about them and thats why they let him go quietly, and didnt the steelers know about his concussions in SD? And when a player takes a contract physical dont they ask them if they have any lingering side effects from any prior injuries including concussions?
