Why do people pull so hard against our guys. Btw Lambert this midget shut down Cooper and I believe did play outside in college. You don't win all American playing nickel only oh and btw davis was pretty mediocre as a corner.

Hey, I hope Golson goes to the Hall of Fame as a Steeler... but I don't see it at all. I didn't like the pick because he's very tiny; not just short but really light. Getting hurt twice in his first moments with the team makes me wonder even more about his size. Beyond that, for a small guy, he doesn't have the deep speed you'd want or expect. He was an All-American, great, but it was almost entirely playing zone and he struggles in man so, I mean, not much to be excited about. You're right about Davis at CB but I'm excited for him at S. I want Burns playing at CB a lot this year.

Yeah like I said earlier I think it's a mistake having Davis in there. I don't think his size has anything to do with it both were more of ligaments then anything. I believe the foot is more of planting wrong. Hell neither happened from contact. Some guys are just unlucky when it comes to freak injuries. I love Davis at SS as well. Golson can game of he can stay healthy. I believe his vert was amazing at the combine which really makes up for his height. He is light I will give you that.

I was very excited about the Golson pick, guys a ballhawk. Hopefully, when he gets out from under this black cloud following him around, he will be a pain in the ass for opposing QB's.

Well, here's hoping we get him back for the second half and he adds a spark.

No reason to apologize, brother. I'm easy going around here. I said he sucked and called him a midget. :D I wasn't serious with that stuff... but I'm not a believer in the kid. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

what does this do for the CFL wunderkind? Will he get some more reps or does the signing of this guy White pretty much say all the bubble CB's/DB's they brought in aren't worth having in camp?

I have high hopes for him. He is a ballhawk. He plays the ball is the air really well. There have been some really good short corners in the NFL.

Was Golson often injured in college as well? I mean does he have an injury history?

Now they are reporting 4 month. Heck the swelling hasn't gone away yet so they still don't know if he needs surgery or not. He will be straight IRed I would guess.

I think he should seek out Sean Spence for comfort. Everyone thought Spence's time in the NFL was done once upon a time too. But, he's still on an NFL roster. Sean Spence did make it through some pre-season games too however.

Agreed. I was a big fan of him in his draft year. Was elated that we took him. Couldn't wait to see him develop. If you didn't know his size, and just watched his tape... he has elite cover corner athletics, and great instincts. I had very high expectations for him this year. Very disappointing.

this hurts him. you can only gain so much knowledge with mental reps. the kid has the talent but he can't even get through practice, let alone us seeing what he can do on the field for us. it won't be until next season now that we can find out what he has. it's way to hard and they don't have the time late in the season to experiment with a youngster at that point. i wish him luck.

At least Spence had some game tape... preseason games before he blew out his knee. Golson has shown nothing but college game tape. I didn't like the pick when the Steelers drafted him last year. I thought it was an obvious "Troy Edwards-caliber" reach at the time. The Ravens got the TE Max Williams one pick before... Steelers were probably gonna get him if he was available. I hope Golson recovers and proves me wrong. So far... I'm right.

With that said... Jesse James may turn out to be a better TE than Maxx Williams, so it's really not that big of a deal.

The part that sucks about this is that we are in need of CB starters and depth.

Lisfranc injuries can be pretty bad. My wife had/has one. It's been 3 yrs and she ain't over it yet. Now, granted she's no 23 yr old professional athlete. But this could effect Golson for a long time.
