He hasn't played a down in a real game anyway since he has been here, maybe he's one of those players that's always got an injury, so how can we miss him without ever seeing him play????

Injuries seem to be following this guy. Didn't he get hurt earlier this year? Pack him up and move him out, Sean Davis can take his place.

Sean Davis was brought in to play SS. I sometimes wonder if them throwing Thomas out there at the nickel his rookie season didn't stunt his growth some. Davis needs to focus on the safety position. It is too much to ask a rookie to learn 2 roles on a defense.

Trade for Brandon Boykin ....... Oppps... Did I say that out loud!!!

    LOL....

Seriously, we needed him to man the slot and we have no other good options right now.

Could be a candidate for the PUP designated to return list, maybe.

Im comfy with Gay in the slot.

I'm more worried about our outside guys in Cockrell and Burns.

Actually I'm only worried about Burns. Cockrell did very well and solidified himself as a starter without even having been here for any OTAs or Training camp, and only like (1?) preseason game.

Almost certainly will be... And they get about 5 weeks until they have to decide where to put him to start the regular season.

I believe there was a rule change to the IR designated to return list for this season. Pretty sure you can now put more than one player on it, but you can still only bring back one guy after at least 6 weeks on the list.

Sorry but PUP is not available... You probably meant IR with a designation to return

Gay was our slot CB but had to move outside because he was needed there. He still is!!! Artie is a young pup not able to man the outside full time right now. What's worse than losing an unproven but promising slot corner is moving a vet there and leaving the outside manned by a unproven rookie.

I also don't think Ross C. Played very well but he did ok and I expect him to play better his year.

They are going to have to look for a guy like Cockrell on the waiver wire again. That or we hand this role to Grant or Burns.

Which I imagine was VERY deep and informative. I bet it was as though the Surgeon General was explaining it.

The dude is a midget, who couldn't play the outside in college. He's a nickel here, at best, and very likely not a good one. Just go next man up like Golson was never here, which he basically wasn't.

:) I doubt Friendly Fire was going out for a pass... but it's a good idea to check.
