Oh for crying out loud. Tell me jeh1856... have you stopped beating your wife?

Sick and tired of bloody click-whore/sensationalist journalists who thrive on making this kind of BS news. We are stupider as a country because of them (and that's a close to a political statement as I'm going to make... you can fill in the blanks :@)

    EDIT:
Sorry Jeh.... this probably came off as a personal attack against you though it wasn't meant to be... it's against certain members of the 4th estate who take advantage of our baser instincts to make a buck.

Hmmm.... sounds like the NFL now that I think about it ;-)

Was he not suspended from last year? I thought he won his appeal and reduced the suspension.

I think he was being sarcastic. (or is it patronizing in this instance?)

However his did have that caveat, that, he was driving a vehicle possessing marijuana, or a DWI, I forget the specifics. Didnt come from the drug testing itself.

But we all know Le'veon enjoys weed.

Yes I forgot the green font. Pretty sure anyone who calls themselves a Steelers fan knows Bell was suspended for a couple games last year.

I'm not a big Madden fan. He's obnoxious and tends to spout negative information against players who ignore him. He thinks he's smart but proves by his comments that he is highly insecure. With that said, I have never heard him blatently make up inaccurate information. He has more connections than any of us do. There is more to this. Big deal? No deal? Time will tell.

He doesnt have to be making it up, hes just wrong like usual.

Theres nothing to this story, its been 4 days and nothing corroborating it and there would have been if true.

Agreed. But there is nothing disproving it either, other than Bell's cryptic response. If I was a player, I would eliminate all doubt. Bell did not do that. " I can't talk about it" is what your council tells you when there is trouble. "I won't" is what you say otherwise.

I know I'm playing symantics. I also know I would not have any doubt out there about my integrity. Bell has not done that. 4 days is a short amount of time with the NFL or labor related proceedings.

Naa, your tinfoil hat must have a tear in it, nothing going on here ;)

And 4 days is forever in today's media age. When speculation came out about Bryants drug test, reports started coming out confirming it immediately.

FYI, tinfoil hasn't actually been used for hats since the end of WWII. Aluminum foil has worked just as well since.

As an interesting side point I keep catching bits and pieces of the 30 for 30 documentary on OJ the last few days and just happen to see when Fuhrman was called back to the stand and took the 5th. Your comment made me think of that. Fuhrman goes most people don't understand the ins and outs of the fifth, if you take the fifth you don't answer a single question because if they get you to answer one then you have to answer them all, meanwhile his fellow officer goes if you are asked if you planted evidence you answer emphatically hell no, leave no doubt in anyones mind you answer that question, by not answering it makes it look you are lying. so it is really interesting seeing the different sides in the whole deny it as hard as you can strategy.

One day I was having a beer with a friend who is an attorney. Unrelated to anything, and out of no where, and to no one in particular, she blurts out " Lie, and stick to your story". For the rest of us, it became our battle cry.

WHEW! I guess we are in the clear as far as Bell goes. If there was any truth in the rumor, the NFL should have said so by now.

Bell would be extremely stupid to smoke anything right now during a contract year.

If it turns out he did, a good majority of us will blast his stupidity while a few will champion the stupidity of the law or policy or whatever and it solves nothing... At the end of the day he'll just be another ass with no self control or simple smarts.

If he didn't woo hoo, all is well but he was still stupid enough to garner the attention he gets rumored or not once upon a time.

All is well I assume go steelers conspiracy and all

Is there another option? Be OK with the stupidity because it will allow the team to sign him cheaper? ;)

I'd like to have your confidence (optimism?) in this situation. It took us quite a while to find about Martavis while the club knew for quite some time.

Bell stated that he didn't miss a drug test and he didn't fail a drug test. A quick Google search will give all the links needed.

Either he's lying ( I don't think for a second that he lied about it ) or Madden was fed some erroneous information. I can't stand Madden but he wouldn't just make this stuff up. Someone he trusted fed him this junk and he ran with it.

On a personal note: I don't smoke weed now but back in the day I did far more than my fair share. The marijuana laws and the NFL rules about it are out of wack and need to be changed. But until or unless they are players need to abide by them and if they don't they need to face the consequences.

Not doing so has a detrimental effect on the team, everyone else around them and the fans. They are in a situation that makes what they do have consequences both good and bad for others so it's not just about them.
That's the reason I quit smoking and my yearly paycheck would be pocket change for these guys. If I can do it they can. If they don't....cut 'em and get rid of them because their problems go deeper than just enjoying a good buzz.

Well that's a kick in the knickers.

Let's just hope DeAngelo Williams can carry the load again
