I'm in block 137, row K and I ended buying them from Ticketmaster. Cost me just over $300 per ticket including the service charge. It was insane I know but as I said, I just couldn't risk not getting a ticket.

So how have you managed to get a seat like that for $100 when they are selling for about $700 right now?

Also I'm wanting to go to the Eagles game the week before as I'll be in Philly. Whats the chances of getting a seat on the day of the game and where would be the best place to buy them?

Oddly enough, probably one of the best places to get a ticket the day of the game is StubHub. Philly has a StubHub ticket office (I guess that's what you'd call it) that's only a couple of blocks from the stadium. I bought a ticket that way a few years ago for a preseason game the day of, and got it for probably 50% of what the face value was.

I mostly use Craigslist and you will find people that are just really wanting to get rid of their seats pretty bad. Also if you wait til it's closer to the season those seats will definitely go down. For the bungles playoff game last year I could have been on about the 3rd row of the 20 for less than $200 and just chose not to go because of the rain.

im saying that the steelers could have 10,000 tickets available(hypothetical number). Only offer ticketmaster a few hundred to sell at 10:00 on friday the 17th. steelers have a deal worked out to sell the rest to ticket brokers at highented prices. the brokers then turn around and jack up the price even more for their profit.

Thanks for that mate, I'll definitely look into that when I get there. I actually don't care where I sit for that game as long as I get to see it, hell I'll watch it in a bar somewhere as a last resort and I wouldn't be too disappointed.

But the Steelers set the prices anyway (at least I imagine they would do), why would they bother doing something as complicated as that when they could just jack the prices up themselves and keep all the profits?

how do explain that before the ticketmaster days, season ticket waiting list people could mail their requests in and get 4 tickets to any just about game but since ticketmaster got involved, all games sell out in a minute or 2 and mostly only single seats? no 2 or 4 together.
2 people working 2 computers and a 3rd on the phone as soon as 10 oclock hits and nothing more than that is available. even for the lesser games...
more seats have been added and i dont hear of people on the lists getting 'the call'

an hour later, stubhub, ebay and steeler ticket exchange are swamped with tickets, and not just single seats in the nosebleeds

When I went, I was about 50 yard line, a section or two in front of club seats, those were perfect. I don't enjoy any game at any venue nearly as much from nose bleeds. Call me spoiled.

I personally don't either but some people just flat out prefer the upper deck. My dad is that way. The MAIN place I wouldn't want to set though is in the end zone. That just seems like it would be the worst view possible.

Yea I just have this feeling the whole experience will be much better in the lower tier. It's quite possibly the only chance I will get to see them play in my life so I think getting the best seats possible is important. Really can't wait now, just 3 more months :)

Definitely. Coming all that way, do it right if you can swing it financially. You'll be happy you did. I had such an awesome time, you'll love it!

Might be an odd question but what's the weather typically like in October?

75 and sunny. 43 and raining. Anything in between. More often than not it will be a pretty nice day but you might need a jacket. On average, for an evening kickoff on that date, it will be about 60 degrees.
