That looks like a Daniel Snyder special where he comes in and supercedes his gm to make a splash signing again. He never learns.

I'm looking forward to the Antonio Brown / Josh Norman match-up on Monday Night Football. My money is on AB.

We will see if Norman is worth the money when he is matched up against AB in our season opener, the last time they were matched up in 2014 AB was targeted 10 times and caught 10 passes for 90 yards and 2 TDs in a steeler 37-19 win, I look for a repeat this time against the skins and Norman on monday night football....

He's not worth it at all. Carolina played a lot of zone last year when he played well. Deandre Hopkins' comment on him was "good Cover 3 corner, I'll give him that." Roddy White also said he's no shut down corner, and talked about how much of his success came from hanging back in zone and reading the action in front of him rather than taking guys out of the game in man coverage. A good zone corner has value, but not $15 mil/yr value.

Right now in guessing Washington fans think this is a great signing.

I didnt think the cards patrick peterson was worth 70 million either, he had 35 tackles 1 forced fumble, 8 Pdefs and 2 picks in 2015, and that is worth 70 million??

Not sure of the details, but I think I'd be OK with the $14/mil/yr contract he signed. Add in his return ability and he shuts people down. Different player from Norman imo. I agree that its a lot of salary space for one non-QB though.

Peterson fumbled a kick off in the panther game that led to a panther TD, so even his returns sucked in 2015 for the most part, he got a 47 million dollar guarantee and a 15 mill signing bonus, I dont think any corner is worth 14-15 million a year, i'm sure mel blount wished he had been born 45 years later than he was....

I don't like that kind of money for any corner, not even a shut down man corner. Give me an elite pass rusher over a corner any day. The pass rusher makes every other pass rusher and pass defender better.

Redskins fans have been disillusioned for so long, they dont know what a good move is or isn't anymore. If you have no decent pass rush, what's the point paying a guy that amount of money?

Josh Norman will never see the back end of that 5-year deal. He becomes a cap casualty after two years as the Redskins re-boot once again.

This is so true. It starts up front. If the QB is laying on the ground, you don't even need a CB.

I know nose tackles are used as 2 down guys now, but when Hampton was in his prime he could crush the pocket backwards and the OLBs racked up sacks. Covered both the run and pass. Guys like Hampton area few between, but if an equivalent NT was available, I'd take him over a CB.

Deion Sanders in his prime would be worth that kind of money, he was also great on special teams.

Well if he is going to fill Fat Albert's jersey he better start eating... a lot... and walking his fat ass out of buffets without paying/tipping.
