Best case scenario for us is that a team like Oakland (projected to possibly take a 1st round CB) signs Norman and changes their draft approach for the 1st round.

I don't think anyone signs Norman until after the draft.

I'm reading all kind of reports the Steelers are after him but I just don't see how. Someone would have to get cut and the only one I could see is Timmons with Williams behind him. Maybe Pouncey?

Well, it doesn't seem like a money grab to him or he'd have signed with the 49ers by now. LOL. We're going to see how smart he is over the next two weeks.

Was just listening to Kirwan and Miller on Sirius. Apparently a NFL secondary coach was telling them that teams need to be careful how much they pay for Norman. The coach had said that he's strictly a zone scheme corner who needs the play in front of him, and may not get nearly what he thinks he's going to get. I can definitely see that.

I really hope you are wrong. I just bought my DeCastro jersey last year! Be stupid to move him.

I'd prefer to keep DeCastro myself. But paying Pouncey, then DeCastro,..you can't pay everybody stupid money. It comes down to drafting correctly behind them at those position. Which allows our front office to have
    a certain amount of leverage.

Yeah. We should probably draft a guard in the 1st instead of a corner

I'd keep DeCastro over Pouncey. Pounce has the talent but he can't keep himself on the field. Obviously would like to keep both.

LaConfora reporting that the Redskins have offered Norman a 5 year contract worth 14-15 mill/year. They were one team I was thinking were going to go CB in the first. Gotta like that if it happens. San Fran. also pushing hard to land him.

If Norman does indeed go to Washington, then Miami is the lynchpin for a top corner being available at 25. If Miami goes Eli Apple, then I think WJIII has a high probability of being the guy. (I'm assuming Tampa Bay goes Hargreaves)

We have no idea which WA the raiders go. Raiders are high on WJIII but they also like Shaq too.

I was thinking Ragland or Darron Lee to the Raiders but Shaq would be a possibility too. They got Bruce Irvin in FA. They seem to be in a good spot to draft wherever actually. They have needs, but no glaring ones imo.

The Raiders have secondary issues for sure.

They might draft a compliment to Mack since Aldon can't stop acting a fool for a couple years to finish his career.

Norman will be signed before the draft, he may be signed by the skins today, they have a contract offer on the table for him to sign right now.....

Interestingly, it's also being reported that Norman is firing his agent..... so a deal would have to wait 5 days if he hired a new agent.

I guess they felt like the Giants and Eagles were outdoing them in overspending on panic moves. Good news for us in terms of a CB falling to us.
