Those are all good front offices, but the narrative from Deanbots would be something like. "Can you believe this clown lost Dumervill due to a clerical error, and ignoring the oline for years has left them decimated, letting Malik Jackson walk for nothing!?!? What are they doing! The RB position is a joke. Mark Sanchez?!?!!"

i never once said so'oto was our savior elvis. never. i said he should have been kept over sylvester that year. so'oto had a good preseason for us. sylvester ended up doing very little and as i said then so'oto knew the 3-4 better coming from green bay.

i list our UDFA's and futures players during the preseason which i guess you are talking about. many do make it here as depth but i in no way said they are all studs. big difference. when we need players at a certain position for depth, that is the pool we have to look at, so why not talk about them? i usually do go in depth to find out about these type of guys because every year in this league guys get overlooked that make contributions. i do it to let posters on here know who we have and if they have anything to offer. 1/3 of the team is usually made up of these types of guys.

If we are talking top GM's, one of the top 3 (and my favorite) is the redskins GM (Scot McCloughan). Before coming to the redskins he built the 49ers and Seahawks teams. Nuff said.

Scot McCloughan was in the front office that selected Alex Smith over Aaron Rodgers and drafted Vernon Davis 6th overall
He also traded away Brandon Lloyd for nothing, and a 2nd and 3rd to move up to select Manny Lawson.
Can you say Zigg... I mean, Kentwan Balmer in the 1st
When he finally got his first GM job in 08-09 he produced practically no talent in the draft besides Michael Crabtree over 2 drafts. Man, he's neglected the WR core everywhere he's been.

PS... McCloughan got fired because he's an alcholic

For the record, I think McCloughan has an excellent eye for talent. The above examples just go to show that IF he were the GM here over that time period, people would be attacking him the same way they attack Colbert.

Good group of players there. The kid from Akron is intriguing. Is he an ILB, OLB, or even a SS? Jones isn't tall, but is a darn good corner. Green had a great combine. Big time hitter. Obviously love the buckeye Bell too. Smith is the only one I don't know anything about.

Smith is a small school CB decent size late round prospect, Jatavis Brown is 5'11 227 lbs ran a 4.4 forty 12 sacks in 2015 as a OLB. Brown is too small for OLB in the NFL maybe he can play safety, would probably be great on special teams.

Yes. He's about the same size as Spence coming out, and had a lot of bench reps (can't remember how many, but may have been 30+). He looks pretty physical in the limited film I've seen. Great burst when rushing.

Today's visitors: DT Javon Hargrave, SC St.; DE Quinton Jefferson, Maryland; DE Dean Lowry, Northwestern; S Demontrae Elston, Miss.

I dig it. I think Steelers fans will like Hargrave.

Dean Lowry won't be mistaken for the best athlete on the field, but he's a plugger with high effort. Like I said before, he was in the Nebraska backfield all day this past year.

Jefferson rings a bell, but I watched a couple Maryland games for Ngakoue and Davis. Maybe that's where I recognize the name. I'll have to look into him some more.
