No they wouldn't show up in drug test but a surprise home visit can turn up instances of domestic violence or child abuse however the NFL doesn't have policies and procedures that provide that. They do have ones for drugs and SteelTerp is pointing out how the league has a gap in what they do consider a wrong behavior and what they turn a blind eye to.

So much for not derailing the thread. Since some of you insist on ignoring repeated requests, thread is now locked.

Let's keep it unlocked, but avoid furthering debates about marijuana.

It's my hope Blast that if it is a depression issue the league gets more progressive in its education before making any rulings. There are a lot of newer treatments out there and no real testing on how any of the newer meds will show on a standard drug screening.

Hines Ward just offered the team his services for the year. Said he would come out of retirement for the season to help.

SPOILER ALERT (This will crumble your rainbow for sure Blast - but if MB gets "depressed" while he's smack dab in the middle of a playoff run and is excelling at his trade (assuming this stuff happened last season or even after a super playoff effort on his part) - what's he going to do for laughs while he's sitting at home this season watching his team play on the tube and not earning a nickel (except for the 0.5% yield on his ING account!) This is unfortunately deja vu all over again and now I turn to Bell and Pouncey's streak of injuries. Sorry - I see patterns that cannot be ignored). :help:

See - this proves right here that many Steeler players actually read TTF's awesome website - well at least Holmes, Blount, Bell and Bryant!

Not "all". Because I have not. I do have an addiction to video games, comic books, politics, and American history though. LOL!

He was a very good possession receiver in his prime. The key to that statement is in his prime. He was a shell of his former self in his last 2 seasons and that's only been excerbated over the last few years. Ward was done before he was retired by the Steelers. They've moved on and it's time for Hines to move on as well.

Well that now makes two people from your tri-state area who officially didn't - but the other guy still maintains he didn't inhale. :lolol: Even if I hadn't ever, not sure I could say "never" because I've been to a dozen Pink Floyd concerts over the decades and my concert shirts probably still maintain that certain concert fragrance.

could be a catch all phrase. My younger brother had to enter a facility when he was in his teens to help provide him with structure and ways to manage his bipolar and social anxiety. It was called a developmental home but could just as easy been called rehab.

Throw in Manzel and so many others. The human brain is one crazy, complex thing, and it perplexes us all how these guys can throw so much away.
