Haha! As soon as I saw him eating his slice of bread, I was just waiting for him to start drinking the milk. I thought it would be in a gallon jug, though. It would have been funnier if he had a cow standing next to him and he was milking it. :lolol:

It's okay. I already panic bought the toilet roll. Just to get my retaliation In early.

But what is it with snow and bread and milk?

My best guess is it's a holdover from long ago when people could literally be snowed in for days at a time. Barring something catastrophic (or certain remote areas), that doesn't happen anymore. But the habit remains for many.

Not to mention that milk and bread lasts a lot longer than they used to...

yep back when sandwiches and milk were considered daily staples of life everytime a storm was coming people would buy bread and milk to last out the storm.

In the US, where it can snow up to your armpits, and beyond, I can understand it. But in the middle of England, where I have not seen snow deeper than 12", and the coldest I can remember around here was about 14 degrees.....

It's currently 5 degrees with a wind chill of -25, and I think I'm starting to get my yearly bout of bronchitis. :(

I made homemade halupki, potato salad, and baked beans for dinner. Good, warm comfort food.

Celsius? ;) That's rather warm. 14 Fahrenheit is very cold even for these parts.

Currently 2 degrees Fahrenheit here. Wind chill might reach -30F tonight.

But it has been a relatively mild and easy winter this year. I won't complain about 2-3 bitter days. Spring is almost here. :D

    Lucky you! I'm jelly!

It was about 56 degrees or so here today. A tropical heat wave! :lolol: It felt so good being outdoors with the sun shining brightly. Temps are supposed to go back down into the 20's and 30's later this week, though. Darn near everyone is getting sick. Weather has been cray cray this winter.

It might have reached 30 here today. Great time to be a UPSer... LOL! Luckily I'm getting to drive a rental vehicle because we're so slammed and I'm not having to deliver as much stuff as I am having to just take stuff to other drivers that don't have room for it all at once. The feeling of the wind picking up though is just brutal. Supposedly tomorrow is supposed to feel like it's in the single digits. No snow though. Dang it.

It's supposed to be colder here tomorrow, as well, with winds up to 35 MPH. I'm off work for my four day weekend, so I'm not going out there unless it's an emergency. I'm going to spend my time getting the house ready for Christmas and baking cookies.

Stay warm and safe out there, BFT. :)

My wife just asked if I'd run and get ice cream about 30 minutes ago. When I was driving to get it, on the way I looked at my car's thermometer and saw that it was 5 degrees.
