Heath Miller announced his retirement

Yeah, unless Im out of the loop, I didn't know this was coming this year. I figured one or two more years. Better to go out with your health, I guess. He's taken some nasty head shots.

 

He's just so gawd darn purty. Oh, those eyes! Now whatta I do? *sigh*

 

Big hole to fill now. Sad day. Great career Heath thanks for the great memories.

 

He should be rehired tomorrow by the Steelers for Player development.

 

I think you'll start to see a lot of player, especially ones who've had decent contracts retire 'a year or two early'. They've got to be paying attention to the health problems that players from the past are having, and might decide not to press their luck or compound their problems. Can't say that I blame them.

 

He's got some big shoes to fill.

A true professional, a true Steeler in every sense of the word. In a time where athletes today show over sized egos, showboating, drug addictions and me first attitudes, my admiration of Heath is unparalleled. If there was ever a mold of talent, work ethic and camaraderie, Heath Miller would be first on the list. Although it's a sad day for us Steeler fans, the joy you brought us will never be forgotten. Hope he stays with the organization in some capacity.

 

I can access this thread through a post that was merged with it, but It doesn't show up on the Steelers Talk page?
I'm guessing it's because of one of the people on my ignore list started this thread?
