I've kind of already determined that is what is going to happen. Randy Moss all over again. All these teams that could greatly benefit from Forte, we have no need for him (making it stupid to spend that much money on a third starting rb) and NE will somehow get him.

Does it make me a bad person if I hope Tom Brady tears his ACL in opening day again?

People tend to 'misremember' Cowher's tenure in the Burgh. Around 1999/2000 Yinzers were marching across the West End Bridge with pitchforks and lanterns towards Three Rivers demanding a coaching change. They were livid we extended Kordell. Then, despite going 13-3 in 2001, the AFCCG loss to NE was unforgivable. "He can't win the big game!" Back across the West End Bridge they came.

Now, any time Tomlin has a season where we don't win it all, the pitchfork/lantern crowd return to their West End Bridge journey crying for, of all people, William Laird Cowher.

    Fascinating stuff.

I won't dispute any of that, but no way he's "the most overrated coach ever".

Cowher is 20th all time in wins and 25th all time in winning percentage. Yeah... he's terrible.

He does everything well, matter of fact Levean Bell reminds me of him.
Whoever get's him, will be getting a helluva ball player.

A healthy Bell (maybe best rb in the league) and D. Williams backing him?, is a backfield wet dream. Depth got tested, Toissant performed under pressure, also showed why he is 3rd option and will remain earned 3rd option.

We quietly signed former Rams' starter Daryl Richardson a few weeks ago. Dude averaged 4.8ypc in 16 games (98 carries) a few years ago. I'm guessing there will be a good camp battle for that third spot. I wouldn't lock Touissant into that spot just yet.

Yeah that's really an idiotic statement. No team won more games than us over the period that Cowher was here. But yeah. He's overrated.

Since we're reminiscing might as well include Donald O' Neil, Cardille Stuart and Bid Bin.
