It would've been nice if he played with the Steelers longer than he did.

Man I'm really surprised he got in with all the competition he faced this year. Awesome news though! I really expected Fanneca to get in and looks like next year we will have yet ANOTHER Steeler to congratulate!

 

That's what I really "think of him" as but he was on the Steelers when I fell in love with them and so he has always had a special place in my heart.

 

Fannaca is an O lineman Blount. Seems like most of them have to wait

 

Good to see him get in. I loved watching him and Greg Llyod terrorize opposing QBs. He was a great Steeler.

Wow! Didn't think he'd make it, but those sack numbers helped. Maybe the WCW numbers helped as well!

I know they're pushing his Carolina (probably for the tie-in to SB-50), but he only played 3 years with them as well as 3 with Pittsburgh. He had 9 with the Rams and one with SF. In-fact he didn't even play 3 straight years with the Panthers.

It's his decision though, I don't think he's made a choice yet.

 

Funny - this is about the only time that saying "Going Greene" doesn't seem phony. Congrats Kev!

Well-deserved. Such a shame that the 90s team lost a lot of good players after only a few years, but I always liked Greene wherever he played.

 

i am glad he got in but kinda shocked. I really didn't think he would. I have to admit that the only years I paid attention to him was when he was here. did he really have THAT great a career?

Man, he was a beast for us. Doggone salary cap. Reminiscing back....this organization have had the privilege and honor of a lot of great players and vice versa. Moments like these make you proud to be a part of such a family.

I would hope he represents both. I'm from the Burgh but spent 5 years in Chicago. There will always be a place in my heart for the Bears and Cubs.
