Dupree is the definition of this imo. Relying on physical skill so far, when he can just react w/out thinking next year, it should be fun to watch.

I'd love to see Doran Grant click at S. That would be a huge bonus.

A few do but a lot of you are missing the point. Yes, they did a good job entering the season with 2 good rbs but when Bell was ruled out half way in and you do nothing to find a back-up for the back-up. You are right back at square 1. One good rb. That's why it's the exact same losses. I want a rotation of 3 rbs it will help everybody and hopefully keep Bell healthy for the playoffs.

Im thinking shazier is even gonna jump another level and be ridiculous next year. remeber troy was kind of slow his rookie season and then took a big jump by end of second year and then he was the best player on the planet his 3rd year. that is what i am hoping for

Yep. Some people can't admit it when they are wrong. Or just keep hitting you in the head with their argument until you either agree with them or get knocked the f*** out lol

Those back ups did a really good job. His whole argument is based on FT's fumble. Fumbles can happen to anyone at anytime.
    Weakest argument ever.

I thought it was the fumble plus the fact that if they rotated RB's, Bell wouldn't have gotten his legs rolled up on and his torso bent backwards by Burfict. Thus, having 3 healthy RB's for the playoffs and there would have been a home game due to games being won by having 3 RB's in a rotation. (Something that's worked for every team that's tried it BTW) No fumble by FT since he wouldn't have been there anyway.

If they would have had a home game they wouldn't have played Cincinnati and Ben/Brown don't get injured and they have a healthy team going to the Super Bowl!

    Something like that.....

How am I wrong though? That's all I am trying to figure out. You are all backing Tomlins way which has resulted in back to back identical playoff losses.

    You're just being crazy now.

How is this back to back identical losses?

He had RB's on the team that had been there and knew the blocking and route trees that he used and one of them actually made a game saving play at the end of the Bengals game. What are you smoking?

Last year he didn't have those guys prepared and started a guy off the street that blew a critical blocking assignment in the one and only play-off game that resulted in an interception.

What about those two scenarios is remotely the same?

I'm not backing "Tomlin's way". The Steelers had tried numerous different RB's. Signed Pead, signed multiple different RB's to the PS, had an open competition between Todman, Pead and Toussaint... You act like he didnt do a thing and was going into the end of the season thinking "durrrrr, were gonna just stick with DWill and hope he doesn't get hurt". Just because he addressed the situation in a different manner than what you wanted him to, doesn't mean he didn't do anything about it. It was quite the opposite.

They weren't identical. We played like hot garbage and had literally zero output from our RB position against Balty and got beat badly. We actually won a game (on the road) in which both Todman and Toussaint performed well, then went into Denver and had mediocre performances from the RB's but that was surely aided by the fact that we played the number 1 defense in football without the best WR in football, and our QB recovering from a separated shoulder from a week prior.

The sad part is that Toussaint actually played pretty well considering the circumstances. He just ended up making a critical error late in the game.

I'm done with this debate tho man. Nothing against you or your opinion... I'm down for the 10 count.

The #3 RB won't play much during the season anyway, it has nothing to do with keeping Bell healthy because the Steelers aren't going to rest him much.

Hmmm 412 posting the same RB nonsense just after Groundhog's day. A day which is the focus of a movie about someone reliving the same things over and over - much like we all relive his posts over and over again.

I really Believe Dupree is gonna take that next step and I think JH had a lot to do with it. I was didn't care for the pick but unlike Jarvis I think it will work out.

I am also very hopeful on James, I think he could take the next step. I also feel that FA is gonna change this team as far as depth goes and some of the following are gonna have to have that light bulb moment for us to succeed: Zumalt, Hubbard, Walton, Chickillo and Grant.

Also did somebody really complain about RB depth?????? Stop stop stop, 2 years ago ok but sorry not last year!

Toussaint. He will never fumble again or he will to be replaced by a 4 carries for 8 yards washed up veteran

I didn't mean to "hijack" it. Somebody replied to me so I was replying to them.

Throwing two guys into their first pro games in the playoffs isn't "prepared" From Week 9 on it was the exact same because they had 1 good running back on the roster and ready.

He didn't do much and that's the problem. Pead was a horrible "attempt" You guys want to get on Jackson. Pead has been in the league 4 years and has 78 yards but want to bash a pro bowler who has over 11,00 yards and almost put up 800 last year and has 12 years of experience.

    That's a problem. He's shown he's injury prone.
