Yeah I've got it set to record. They were pushing this hard during Fargo and IGN gave it a 9 and said it was awesome. Hopefully it is. Also hopefully this time the jury makes the right decision. LOL!

    Definitely will be watching it.

Since I assume most know the general story and the outcome, what are people's thoughts on the OJ verdict?

I think it's another case of "probably guilty" but because of the terrible miss management of evidence and overall poor case carried out by the prosecution, I agree with the Not Guilty verdict that was produced by the jury.

Wasn't terribly disappointed that he ended back up in jail for life.

Couldn't watch it without thinking of Jackie Chiles. Chiles sues Oh Henry! candy bar heiress Sue Ellen Mischke for allegedly causing Kramer personal injury due to an automobile accident. Kramer distracts Jerry while driving when he sees Mischke walking the streets of New York City wearing only a bra. Chiles describes her actions as "lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous!" The lawsuit fails when Kramer demands she try on the bra to prove it is hers. It fails to fit because she tries donning it over a leotard. Jackie yells at Kramer, "Of course a bra's not going to fit on over a leotard. A bra's got to fit right up against a person's skin...like a glove! If it doesn't fit - you must acquit!"

The verdict is the greatest miscarriage of justice in American history. He is a murderer. Period. If not for one of the most incompetent prosecution teams and an inept police dpt he would be in jail for murder. I hope he dies a miserable, horrible, agonizing, and terrible death. The man is the embodiment and epitome of human scum. The only way a person can believe the man is actually innocent is to be nothing more than a stupid human being. His lawyers were incredibly effective in portraying the cops as "out to get him" and all this other crap but the truth is that they weren't. The Fuhrman thing is the most ridiculous of all. They convinced the jury and the public that the dude was a racist and failed to mention that he was dating a black woman and volunteered to help black youths. There's a saying among lawyers that says "When you have the law pound the law. When you have the facts pound the facts. When you have neither pound the table." That's what his lawyers done. Not incidentally, thankfully, two of them are already dead. The Civil Trial showed that he was responsible for their deaths and rewarded settlements but then the pathetic excuse for a man moves to FL because they can't seize your assets in that state to make you pay your debts. Man I really hope he suffers until the bitter end.

I was working at a Pennsylvania State Correctional Institution when the OJ Simpson trial took place. I worked daylight, and would rush home and turn on Court TV to watch the last little bit of the live trial for the day. I would then watch the entire day's proceedings as it was broadcast later that night. I was addicted.

I still remember the day the verdict was handed down.

All the state prisons were locked down that day due to the fear of riots because, of course, everyone knew OJ was going to be found guilty. I was in the office of one of the supervisors watching TV with him and waiting for the verdict. When the verdict was read, there was an eerie silence and then we could hear all the inmates across the entire prison erupting in simultaneous yells and cheers for the not guilty verdict. The supervisor and I were shocked and stunned and just looked at each other, said a few "that's bullsh*t" type things, and then had to get busy with the task at hand as far as our work was concerned. The creepiest feeling I think I've ever had was at that moment when I heard those simultaneous yells and cheers across the entire prison. I don't think I'll ever forget it.

I was in 8th grade when the verdict was handed down and they actually rolled a tv in to the room to let us watch it. People were in disbelief. I followed it closely as well. I was actually a big Rockets fan and the Bronco chase had interrupted that game in the championship. I was actually at Disneyworld when the chase took place on tv.

I remember people being ticked off when that game was interrupted for coverage of the Bronco chase. I don't like basketball, so I didn't care. :lolol:

I have to admit, though... That Bronco "chase" was all kinds of awesome to watch. I had never seen anything like it before.

Incompetent prosecution + dumbest jury EVER = acquittal. They fell for the distractions hook, line and sinker. They also didn't seem to know what the word "reasonable" in reasonable doubt means. Oh? There's a 1 in 70 trillion chance someone else has OJ's DNA profile? Well! Maybe someone else did it!

I'll just leave this here (edit: one very strong use of adult language right at the end. Literally the last word. You have been warned):

    Such a great clip! :applaud:

Side note- I've thought of that ending at random times, but couldn't for the life of me remember what it was from. Thanks. :D

    Knicks fan here :lolol:

I was in a club, game was on all the TV's and then switched over to the Bronco crawl. It really should have been evident to everyone right there that he was guilty. Absolutely amazing he got off but had feeling he might after the way that case was botched. I think the two biggest things that sunk the prosecutors was the effing gloves and Furham. There was absolutely no reason to try those gloves on and they were even warned not to have him try it, but, that team was doopid.

I'll tell you what's really sad were all the stupid morons that lined up on the overpasses and sidewalks to wave at him! They even made signs like they were watching a sporting event! Martin Scorcese has a movie called "The King of Comedy" and it's one of the greatest black comedies ever made and it's about how people are obsessed with celebrity culture and how psycho they can get over it. Robert Deniro and Sandra Bernhard play two VERY crazy characters in it and they remind me of the kind of people that would act like the idiots that watched that car chase.

Yeah that was an awesome series. The Dream was just too much for Starks and the boys. Knicks fans had to be like "First we get Michael out of the way and then we get REGGIE out of the way and now we gotta deal with THIS guy!" LOL! As a lifelong Knicks hater though I quite enjoyed it. LOL!

Wasn't it Chris Rock who stirred up some anger for doing a routine about OJ where he talked about how his wife was living with a white dude or something like that and he said "I'm not sayin' I woulda killed here...but I understand!" Or something like that?

I was on a mooring at the Panama yacht club in the canal zone when the verdict came in. We were watching through armed forces. I hooted and hollered at "not guilty" 'cause I was convinced he was........not guilty. After a couple of years, I realized that he did it and the prosecution screwed up big time!

    Rockets got lucky!

I know the feeling of joy, I felt much of it when Manning beat Marsha and will feel it again when he beats Carolina, Sunday :hehehe:

Cant believe you had any kind of strong feelings about the OJ trial, weird 8th grader! Trial really was a circus, Kato

I've always been like an "old soul" or whatever. I was always around my papaw and his buddies and just was in to things that older people were in to. My wife still gets irritated because she says I never want to have friends that are my age. When I was little I fell in love with politics and am still obsessed with them to this day and my papaw loved to get me to talk about it. My wife's cousin told me that I should have been born in the 20's. LOL! As for the Knicks, they really sorta remind me of peyton led teams. Really talented but never able to just seal the deal when it matters the most. That Knicks team had a ton of talent on it. Although I always thought Starks was more of a streak shooter than anything and Reggie Miller could get in his head BAD.

I saw OJ and Nicole at Las Hadas in the mid-80s (honeymoon?) and was a little jealous the he could get someone as beautiful as Nicole was. Who knew what was going to happen only 10 years later?

Hated Miller! But the Knicks owned the Pacers so it wasnt too painful over all dealing with him. THe 90's Knicks team was great though, loved the players on that team, Ewing, Mason, Oakley, Starks, although if I was an opposing fan, I would totally hate Starks too :lolol:

I often wonder if I should have grown up in the 50's, loved that time frame.

That doctor who brought concussions to light in the NFL is claiming OJ has CTE and is blaming his behavior on that. I say :bscow:

I say its much more likely that he killed them out of a jealous rage and now is suffering from PTSD which led to his other crimes. That was a grisly killing, no way that doesnt eff a person up.
