    Hey guys,

what were you favorite Steelers games this season ? the ones you'd like to watch again during the offseason ?

    My top 3 :
    vs. Broncos
    vs. Raiders
vs. Ravens (my first game at Heinz Field even though the Steelers lost in OT)

    Cheers

I enjoyed the prime time spanking of the Colts. Usually after a prime time game, it takes me at least an hour to unwind and get to sleep. That night I was already unwound when the clock read 00:00.

    2 games I attended:

The absolute beatdown of the 49ers as DeAngelo Williams found the end zone three times and Ryan Shazier was everywhere.

The win over the Cardinals as the entire stadium was laughing and jumping up and down as Martavis Bryant zigged and zagged 88yrds to put the Cards away.

    Also, surprisingly:

The loss to Denver. I've never been as proud of our team and so optimistic after a loss. I really feel like our next title run is upon us. The way that team came together, our defense grew up, and we competed like that in a road playoff game (that we really should have won) makes me beyond excited for 2016.

Looking back it is crazy to think that our post-season came down to that one play. We don't make it and lose, we aren't even in the playoffs. I know there are probably other close games that can be seen like that but that one was definitive.

The two games that come to mind first are the Colts and Broncos games.

I think I'd go with all of those. I know exactly what you mean about the loss to Denver. It was frustrating as hell, but it was probably the most emotional game of the season, and if you're not going to win the SB, then go out like that. The mood on the board after the game, one or two threads notwithstanding, was really quite noticable in that respect.

The Denver comeback, the Chargers game, and the Cincy game in the playoffs.

I had no expectation of winning that game going in. But, man, we battled. With a practice squad running back, a gimpy qb, no Antonio Brown, no Pouncey, a practice squad left tackle . . . We had no business even being in that game. And we almost won. And should have won.

And I am absolutely convinced we would have won with Antonio Brown. I went back and re-watched the previous game we played against them and saw how easily AB was beating their secondary. Especially in the red zone. Our field goals would have been touchdowns. The game really wouldn't have been close.

And, yeah, I was cursing Fitzsimmons Toussaint's name after that fumble. Called him every name in the book. The second he fumbled, I calmly stood up, looked and my woman and said, "That's the game. The season just ended." I knew it was over at that very moment. I recognized, as Tomlin pointed out, how quickly it can just come to a "screeching halt." That was the screeching halt and I knew it. Then I went into a cursing rant at Fitz's expense. After the game, seeing Tomlin teary-eyed, hearing about how Fitz was "inconsolable," perspective hit me. I started to appreciate his performance against Cincy and his performance in the Denver game up until that point. And it wasn't a dumb play, it was just a fumble -- it happens. Adrian Peterson, one of the best to play the position in the history of the game, had just lost a fumble the previous day. So I looked up Fitz on Facebook, found he didn't have a public page, only a personal page (which really exemplifies the level of player we were working with -- a guy barely hanging on to a roster spot on our injury depleted team -- hell, even Kelvin Beechum has a Facebook page) and I sent him a personal message telling him I appreciated his efforts, we wouldn't have gotten past Cincy without him, mistakes happen, keep his chin up, this team is going places and I'm hoping he comes along for the ride. Maybe it meant nothing to him, but he respectfully replied with a simple, "Yes, sir! Thank you!"

The next day I read a great article and a line jumped out at me that really summarized how I was feeling after that game and validating the optimism I was feeling: "We'll look back at Sunday as the afternoon when the Steelers' next championship team was born." That is exactly how I feel about that game and why I put a playoff loss as one of my top three Steelers games of 2015.

The pre-season win against Green Bay. But for that game we would have been riding a 7 game losing streak going into the Niners game. Plus it was great seeing Vick and Landry playing their hearts out behind center realizing we were all set at the QB position. :drinks:
