Tomorrow is the East-West Shrine was wondering if anyone was gonna watch and who anyone was interested in. I am going to be watching the DB's obviously but also I will be watching the lineman and TE's as well. There are a lot of guys I have never heard of which don't mean much however last here there was a lot of guys that got drafted or signed as a free agent. One guy that stood out last year I remember right off the bat was Miller who was drafted high by the Bills, but also we got Chickallo who also had a monster game last year. Some other names from were Walton, Millers teammate Brown, Beckwith, Hickey, Shaw and Finney.

One name that may be the biggest this year is Navy QB turned into RB Robinson. Should have some talent here, love to heard anyone else's opinions.

I will be watching, but just to see who "flashes". Haven't even started looking at draft prospects yet. Haven't processed the Denver game yet.

I agree and let me add that I use this game to help me get over the tough loss. I am actually going to DVR it cause my son has a ball game.

I saw Robinson in person earlier this season. Great player, but it will be interesting to see what he can do running the ball when he's not running a read option.

I will definitely be watching. Like Ender said, I'll look for who flashes, especially in the secondary. But I'll have my eye on these guys too.

East - WR Robby Anderson, DL Dean Lowry, LB Joe Bolden

West - CB Briean Boddy Calhoun, S RJ Williamson.

Saw an article that commented on ILB Elandon Roberts out of Houston. But I don't see his name on the roster. Love that guy, not a great need for the Steelers now except for depth and STs. Football player period imo.

Mentioned Dean Lowry before, not an athletic guy but just gets it done on the d-line. Starter material, probably not. Steeler target, probably not. But I like to watch those types of guys succeed.

Not all of these guys are Steelers mold players exactly, but they're guys to look out for. A few of them will get lots of attention.

    James Cowser, Edge, Southern Utah

    Justin Simmons, S, Boston College

    Dean Lowry, DL, Northwestern

Javon Hargrave, DT, South Carolina State

    Ted Karras, OG, Illinois

    Mike Jordan, CB, Missouri Western

    Devon Cajuste, WR, Stanford

    Davon Johnson, RB, Marshall

    Victor Ochi, Edge, Stoneybrook

read some good practice reports on Ochi. 6'2" 255, I think they're playing a 4-3 today. So he may not get the best look today. I'm sure the scouts take that into account. Co-Defensive player of the year for his conference.

Oh yeah he did and let's not forget that in last years game Chickillo had a pretty good game and was in the same boat a "tweener" and he lasted until our comp pick in the 6th. I don't think that will happen to Ochi and if he gets invited to the SR Bowl that could help him even more.

This game didn't offer much splash a few guys I thought had good games were Ochi and Adams. These two were the cream of the crop and made some cash. Allison(wr) and Caputo(s) looked ok and I have mixed feeling about Simmons(s) and LeBlanc(db). The reason I was watching LeBlanc was the fact he returned kicks. I know they talked about Karras some on the oline and very early in the game I watched him pull and open a hole for a big game but that was it. There was no big plays like last year from Miller and Brown on the oline.

All in all I wasn't very impressed with this group, but that is why I sit behind a puter screen and not in a war room, lol. jmo

Ochi looked way bigger than 255 imo, but it could have been who was next to him. Great 1st half for him. I agree Allison looked good, Robby Anderson had some drops.

I agree about LeBlanc and his ability to return kicks. He didn't turn around quick enough on that TD pass to Allison but he seemed lined up too much to the inside to be facing inside like that. Tough angle to see on TV. I did like his hustle in the 1st qrtr I believe, chasing the ball carrier down the field and ripping him on the tackle. He turned him inside but there was no support, but he got on his wheels and hustled.

Bolden and Lowry looked underwhelming. Agree on Simmons, I haven't seen any of his games but I may have to look at a few. Tough game to evaluate, I was looking at so many lol. Just a small piece to the puzzle, practices would have been more telling imo.
