Dude's no scrub. He fumbled at an inopportune time, but it doesn't make him a scrub. Without him the Steelers would have been watching football from home this weekend.

I'm going to give him a slight pass on this, because of the way he and Todman stepped up last week

I could see him having a place on this team next year. Wouldn't bother me none.

I agree but I think he should get the game ball and have to carry it all offseason.:thumbs up:

He is a practice squad player for a reason.

He earned his place as a 3rd string back next year. He'll learn from this.

Honestly, I want him on the roster as our 3rd RB next year. He ran well. He was a threat out of the backfield. He pass protected like all hell - I recall one GREAT block on an outside blitzer today. The kid made one big mistake. It stinks, but it doesn't undo what he did for us for 7 1/2 quarters without DWill.

I also think people are forgetting that our 3rd and 4th string RB's played against one of the best defenses and held their own.

Two of the best defenses. The Bengals defense has a lot of classless thugs, but they can play.

Doesn't matter who the back was that would have a costly fumble, in the heat of the moment we(I) are gonna be mad and say crazy stuff.
    Kinda like the O'Donnell fiasco.

I agree this was the turning point of the game and we lost because of it. But I went into this game expecting this. I knew at some point in the game the injuries were going to come back and bite us in the ass. However I like what I see in Touissant and he got a ton of experience the last two weeks and he'll be a good addition next year.

Adrian Peterson fumbled in his game too? You think the Vikings would cut him too?

Congrats to the broncos "number one defense" for getting ran on and thrown on for most of the game by a 4th string back and injured qb. You guys really earned it today. Fitz isn't exactly to blame but he also isn't exactly blameless. If you're playing at this level you need to know how to hold on to the freaking football. ESPECIALLY after you just watched a team go home last week for the SAME REASON. If the philosophy is truly "the standard is the standard" then Fitz should be expected to hold the ball as much as Bell is right? I bet we resign Fitz and for the first series of next season he will be benched since Tomlin likes to bench everybody that fumbles. LOL!

Yeah Wheaton is complete trade bait as far as I'm concerned. I'm not saying I think he's a bum or anything but I would sure like to get a safety or corner for him.

I like Coates - he's a big guy and I think he'll be tougher than Bryant and he'll be able to fight for some balls in tight coverage

I do too. Once he figures out how to run routes he will be beastly.

Btw that play was really strange...he had a huge hole and I was screaming to hit it and get the first down. Instead, he just kind of waited and then all hell broke loose...

Tough to ride the kid like that... He's marginal NFL talent, sure. But, he's trying to make it in the league and live out his dream like everyone else. While the fumble in all likelihood cost us the game, you can't dog the kid like that. Big situation for someone to be in with almost no experience. You just hope you don't have to send in PS 4th stringers to carry the load like we had to this year because of injury.
