Really Proud of this Team/Season

Great season. Great coaching job. Lots to look forward to (young team).

With so much stacked against them (suspensions, injuries, youth, etc) they put together a good run.

Here we go Steelers, here we go!

Agreed. With good health next year, SB 51 champs. We found out some good things today- like seeing Coates and Jarvis step up, for example.

 

A brand new secondary and a team THAT STAYS HEALTHY, can do some serious damage next year. I am optimistic

 

i feel alot better about this team than i did a couple weeks ago.todays game shows what steeler football is all about.play hard and make no excuses

 

Defense came along this year. Get a few more healthy guys back. We could make noise next year.

I'm so very proud of you for making it as far as you did in the playoffs through all the adversities you have had before you. You are true warriors!

bottom line for me on this season is there is not another franchise that good make it this far and win 12 games with what we have been through this year. unbelievable when you step back and look at it. from suspended players to players missing games and even seasons. we won a game with micheal vick for heavens sake.

everyone talks about the pats but if brady goes down they don't make playoffs. that is why they fought so hard to keep him from being suspended. you cant name another franchise that comes close to this. I love the Pittsburgh steelers and I know they wont get credit nationally but nobody else could do this

 

Although I'm not upset over how the season ended, I'm ticked off that we had the sneak into the playoffs again. I hope next year we can control our own destiny (having a rock solid kicker will help!!).

Cautiously optimistic for next year. For now though, I look forward to having my sundays back and attempting curb the TheSteelersFans.com addition for a few months! Thanks for the home TTF!!

 

I'd of liked a trip to New England as much as the next guy. But this team has come along way in the last few games and next year should be spectacular.

 

They put it all out there today, couldn't be happier with the Black and Gold. Well, a win would be happier, LOL. But I think they had an incredible season. Thanks Steelers!!!

 

Could have easily folded and used injuries as an excuse. But that's not in our DNA. We'll be back next year and we will be feared. Thank you for an outstanding year.

 

Maybe we should feel dejected about the loss but I believe We have a lot to be proud of and a lot look forward to. I can't wait till next year!

 

Even when we were ten points down, they were still gunning for it.

That's a marked difference from the team last season, for me. This team believes. And with a few additions, we'll be awesome next year.

Just a shame that next year seems a long, long way away tonight.

the only positive i take from this game is that AB can take his time to get healthy

 

Several people think we have a lot to look forward to next year.
Right now the Pats are favorites at 8-1 to win the SB next year with the Steelers being 10-1.

 

Should have capitalized one some of those drives, but they played markedly better overall than Denver did with the field position that was being given up by the Special Teams. Losing some of the key players there hurt as well when they have to be shuffled around for other injured players.

Not sure Berry is back. He's been inconsistent, but I think Boz is a keeper!

Coates just might make a smash on the scene next year and if Bryant stays clean it's going to be electric!

Ben needs to do something better with his conditioning though. Maybe try yoga and judo, because he just doesn't fall very well when he gets hit anymore.

Very positive this team has a run in them next year!

 

What a shame. If we'd limped through this game, we'd have been significantly more healthy next week for NE, and I think we'd have a better chance to win than Denver does.

The injuries finally caught up with us. Well done, Vontaze. Your method is proven. Even when you lose, you win.

 

We need a CB, NT, FS, TE, and a little depth. Four solid players. We're actually in pretty decent money shape though there are always contract discussions. With time running out on Brady, there's only really Luck around as top AFC QBs. I think we have 1 or 2 Super Bowls in the next four years.

Agree with everything you said. Just wish Coats was used more this year, and don't understand some player personnel decisions like, Blake, Boykin not playing sooner, Coats with no playing time earlier. Hope Ben works on getting in better shape in the offseason. He has really slowed down he foot work this year. I was watching a game he played a couple of years ago on the NFL channel and he looked much quicker then.

 

I like our NT situation (McLendon/McCullers) and our FS situation (Mitchell/Golden), and even our TE situation (James).

We need a SS and of course, since Shamarko "HugeSnack Gives This Draft Pick His A+ Seal Of Approval" Thomas was a bust , and we always need to throw more bodies at the CB position. Hopefully Golson and Grant are the real deal, but there's room for another.
