I actually think he could've gotten the first if he would've gone straight for the 3 yards. I think he wanted to break another big gainer, saw some traffic at the 2nd level, and stutter stepped himself out of converting.

 

Broncos get ball first. We had to score last drive with great field position

 

Was afraid of a big run the way they stacked the line...that hurt bad

Defense of yesteryear would have kept them pinned deep. This Defense is fairly good at stopping TDs, but gives up too many big plays when teams should be backed up and in trouble.

 

Then he totally goes and redeems himself and the d gives up a big run. GRRRRRR!!!
