I guess Billick is still having nightmares about the time Ben torched them in the rain on MNF and Harrison single handedly destroyed them.

Isn't Billick a freaking Buffoon ? I mean does he really think Ben made more of that Injury then it was...took himself out so Landry Jones could fail, and the Bengals would retake the lead...ONLY so he could bring himself BACK into the game to be the Hero ?....I mean the game was OVER before any of us even knew that Ben even was going to try and re-enter the game....and if it weren't for Shazier and that fumble...Ben wouldn't even had the chance...I mean is Ben also in the " Dionne Warwick's Psychic friends club " as well Billick ??? ( LOL )

Billick knows his stuff about the Xs and Os. He's one of the few analysts to give some insight from that perspective.

I think this stuff will wash off Ben's back. They used to accuse Bradshaw of the same kind of stuff, as I recall.

I happen to think Ben is a drama queen too, although based on some of the replies I'm reading in here I'm not so sure everyone knows what that means. It doesn't mean he's not legitimately injured nor does it mean he's not one of the toughest players in the NFL. The two have nothing to do with each other.

Like the article said, Ben loves to tell the world about his injuries. I think he likes the sympathy and likes the drama of playing hurt. Of course he's literally injured and literally in pain, but why does he have to talk about it so damn much?

I have no issues with Billick, although Sanders is a complete moron most of the time.

ps. At the time of my post, 74% of people who voted on that poll also believe Ben is a drama queen

Outside chance I'll get slammed for this, but Ben is a drama queen and has always been so.

With that said, that pretty much has diminished recently. Right now I believe he is legitimately beat up and he is roughing it out. Right now I believe his comments are legit and appropriate. I also believe he is one tough fellow.

    For a drama queen.

Q: What's the difference between Bill Cowher and Brian Billick?

A: Cowher does tv etc. because wants to, Billick does because he can't get a job coaching.

Now that Warren Sapp's gone I'd have to give it to Sanders. Great player but a few cards short of a full deck IMO. As far as Billick goes I don't like the guy and never have. He got far more credit than he deserved while a coach and still get's too much credit IMO.

With that said when you listen to the whole interview and hear what he said in context he actually complemented Big Ben while also getting a little dig in. A dig that many, many people ( along with The Chin) agree with. Billick has complimented Ben and called him one of the best QB's in the NFL way too many times in the past for me to take this seriously.

Ben talks about his injuries because he is being asked about it, that does not make him a drama queen. I would much rather hear my QB talking about playing with injury than complaining that it only rains when his team has the ball.

ps. The poll is based on opinions and we all know what opinions are like and everyone has one.

But does he just talk about it on his own because he likes the attention? Or is he responding to questions? Is the only way to avoid being a drama queen to ignore questions, or lie and hide your injuries?

I don't watch a lot of press conferences, but he had a golden opportunity to be a drama queen after the win last week with the sideline reporter. She asked him more than once about his injury, and he (quite rudely, mind you) ignored her question and said something unrelated ("The important thing is we won the game").

To me, the narrative of Ben being a drama queen holds about as much water as the narrative of Ben and Haley at each other's throats.

"Ben, are you and Todd fighting a lot??"
"Huh? He was just hired this morning, I've never even met him."

"Ben, are you and Todd getting along any better now?"
"We get along fine, you guys. Jeez."

"Ben, do you ever miss Bruce?"
"Well sure, Bruce and I are friends."

"Ben, is everything perfect about Todd Haley in every way?"
"Uh, I don't know, I think I've disagreed with him before."

    BEN ROETHLISBERGER-TODD HALEY FEUD CONTINUES

I think the drama queen talk comes from the fact that Ben is injured a lot, but still plays a lot, and performs well most of the time, even when injured. The assumption is he must have been exaggerating his injury. As someone who has closely watched the kind of pass protection he's received over the years, plus his style of play, plus what the refs let opposing defenses get away with, I know that's not true.

I adore Cowher more every time he opens his mouth. After the pats game today the "analysts" on CBS were all falling all over themselves to talk about how great of a game it's gonna be when Denver plays the Pats. So when it came his time to talk he said something like "This just in. It looks like Pittsburgh has decided to make the trip to Denver." LOL! Man I love that guy.
