Are you referring to the swinging arm on Bryant's TD? The embedded video won't work because playback is disabled buy the owner. Not sure what the rules say, but to me it looked like he tried to spin out of the block and accidentally caught Villanueva with his arm.

It looks like a spinorama head slap which is illegal though. The clip is following the action so it is tough to tell but from that clip it does look like Johnson is intending to club him.

Edit: I tried slowing it down and I misspoke maybe he isn't trying to club the head so much as make contact with AV's shoulder/body and shove him off balance and gets his head instead.

Looked kind of like a swim move to me, but it's very hard to tell

unrelated question but why does Foster always turn around and look at Ben. the other guys are looking forward and he's always got his head turned back. is he trying to hear the signal or is this for a different reason?

Yeah, he's the spotter. He's looking for the queue to let the center know to snap it.

I'll have to watch other teams more closely...so everyone has a guard doing that? I've never played football - obviously - but the center is not hearing the calls from the qb....foster is telling Wallace when to snap the ball?

did foster tell Wallace to grab that guys junk too?

I don't think every team does it, but many do. Right, Foster is telling him when to snap the ball. I think he did the probing all on his own. :)

I dont see any problem with what he did. It looks to me like he went for a spin AV didn't bite and caught and arm.

Yep, this is done to overcome crowd noise that may prevent the lineman from hearing the snap count.
