Well, maybe I should re-word that. What I intended was to say that when Landry was on the field, they didn't get anywhere, but I didn't mean to put all of the responsibility on him.

Especially as they hadn't shut our run game down at all.

This is probably Haley's biggest short coming. He has no ability to adjust to what a defense is doing or to the limitations of the players. You can't expect Jones to run the same plays that Ben can. It's stupid to expect it. Even when Ben came in Haley was trying to call deep balls. Ben had to tell him he can't throw that that far...stop calling those plays. The last 4 weeks our offense has done nothing to adjust to what defenses are doing to us. We struggled to score against the Browns, Ravens, and Bengals. These teams are doing something different and Haley has yet to figure it out. Expect Denver to do the same thing.

Watching the games it just looks to me like they are dropping safeties and taking away the long ball and dropping LB's into coverage...while getting pressure rushing 4. Maybe I'm wrong..it just seems that way... also seems like it should be a simple adjustment? If we were able to run a hurry up offense on the road I think that would go a long way to sparking our offense and beating the Broncos. I just don't think we can do it..on the road in Denver.

I didn't think it was a catch when I first saw it but if you watch the replay, watch the ball. It never moved. Because of that, he does have possession. It was pinned against his leg, but it's still possession.
The NFL got the whole catch or no catch thing all messed up but I'm just glad it worked in our favor this time.

What he had going for him on that play is it was called a catch and TD on the field - so the burden of proof required to overturn helped a lot. To be fair, IMHO all replays should have to be reviewed only at full speed to simulate reality and human viewing abilities - in other words to catch mainly obvious flub-ups by the refs not to prove how awesome modern HD lens capabilities are. Not sure if this would help or hurt calls involving the Steelers - but why even have refs on the field if everything can be determined more accurately by cameras and computers?

Shakier was a monster at Ohio State. Hopefully he is finally 100%. Great news for the Steelers run to Super Bowl 50.

You are actually correct. He didn't maintain possession with two feet in. He maintained possession with three feet in.

I think the hang over from the Cincy win will be too much. Steelers need to concentrate on beating the Denver Broncos
which we could with a a full compliment of all our players, but the Steelers need to get that Cincy game out of their system.
And I am not so sure they have?
