Yes the Bengals melted down and deserved what they got, but with them home now, be sure the Steelers will be on a short leash. Two assistant coaches crossed the line, several PF penalties and some questionable behavior. The Steelers better make sure they're up by more than a score the rest of the way, because in a close game, they're not getting the benefit of the doubt moving forward.

It will be worse now, especially considering Manning's on the other side.

you don't think a HOF lineman knows when a player doesn't let up? yes, he tried to stop Nelson at first, but when he kept coming, Munch tried to put him in row 3. And God bless him. Munch deserved the flag but so did Nelson for not letting up and pushing Munch back. Offsetting penalties.. If Munch wasn't worried about his headset...

Nelson couldn't carry Munch's sweaty jock.

Well, we're not playing any 'rivals' from here on out. So there won't be any emotions running high to deal with

You don't think that Porter could have been flagged for being on the field and I'm sure he wasn't saying anything pleasant in ear shot of the refs. Also, while the hit by Shazier was clean, we've all seen hits like that flagged and I'll bet moving forward the Steelers will get flagged every time for a hit like that.

They didn't last night, wouldn't that be different? Wouldn't expect it again.

I wouldn't expect it again either. Especially if it's on Manning like you said. Ben is fair game though in the league's eyes.

I think everyone is chalking up the level of conduct last night's game as something of an exception, whichever team they support or view they take.

It's not like Munchak is regularly punching opposition players when they go out of bounds, and Porter runs on to the field between every play.

Highly charged game, not well governed by refs or officials. Denver will be different, just as every other game has been

The hit by Shazier was within the rules of the game. Dude was a runner and doesn't get the same protection as a WR making a catch. If the NFL doesn't like that then change the rule and make sure it is called evenly. The ref crew from last nights game should not have sniffed a playoff gave.

    Honestly who cares???

The refs are what they are, and Great teams over come bad officiating. If you want proof look at the colts game from 10 years ago. They actually called a do over then the colts came across the lines and should have been encroachment. It aint easy but if we are Great we will over come.

I am critical of officiating at times but they do miss calls it happens. If we don't win it's not because of the officials it's because we didn't do enough to over come them.

NFL rules allows coaches to be on the field when 1 of their players is injured, and thats any coach, so he couldnt be flagged for that, joey hit their hot button with i'm sure some choice cuss words and got another penalty for us to move closer in field goal range, kudos to peazy.....

That's an understatement. Goodell and his goons would love nothing more then see the Pizza Boy advance. Going to have to play a mistake free game and have 4 quarters of Defense.

Exactly. I don't understand why folks keep saying he shouldn't have been on the field. He was checking on a player. Bungles should have keep their composure.

I don't think it allows position coaches, just the head coach, particularly a position coach for a different position.

I have a feeling the conduct and whearabouts of assistant coaches
will be and should be looked at going forward immediately. There
has to be rules involved for everybody to follow.

    Here's the rule
ARTICLE 2. TEAM ATTENDANTS MAY ENTER FIELD DURING TIMEOUT

Either or both team attendants and their helpers may enter the field to attend their team during a team timeout by either team. No other non-player may come on the field without the Referee’s permission, unless he is an incoming substitute (5-2-2).

During any team timeout, all playing rules continue in force. Representatives of either team are prohibited from entering the field unless they are incoming substitutes, or team attendants or trainers entering to provide for the welfare of a player, and any game-type activities are prohibited on the Field of Play.

Scheffter just stated that coaches are not allowed on the field and Porter will be fined, so he could have been penalized.
