Fire Vontaze Burfict Immediately!

Wouldn't it be great if the Bengals released Vontaze Burfict tonight? Just get him out of there. If I was the Bengals GM, I'd release him ASAP, and make a compelling case at a press conference to the 31 other teams that they should not sign him either:

Let the guy go to the CFL or arena league, because even if you think you can sign him and tame him, even if you think you can just cut him as soon as he becomes a problem, that won't change the fact that when he does intentionally end another man's season, career, or seriously affect his overall health, it will be your fault, and you'll have to live with that.

You wouldn't walk up behind an opponent and clobber over the head with a baseball bat. You wouldn't drug an opponent, then put his knee in a vice and twist it until it pops. So don't sign Vontaze Burfict. It's the same thing.

But instead, they'll probably just say something about it being "unfortunate" and he'll start 15 games for them next season.

We know the Bengals won't step up to the plate and do the right thing. Do you think the Steelers would, if we had him?

 

I wouldn't let him go to the CFL or an arena league. I'd ship him straight to a psychiatric ward.

 

Burfict is terrible for the NFL image.

Josh Gordon is out of the NFL because he's a pothead while Burfict is headhunting, twisting ankles, starting brawls and trying to end careers.

NFL is so hypocritical.

Bengals need to be made an example of with their thug BS, social media rants, running off the field in celebration, and other absurd or dangerous behaviour.

 

Oh, for sure. If I could actually choose where he went, it would be Mars, or the bottom of the ocean or something.

 

the guy needs suspended and fined for sure. he is a black eye to the image of the NFL.

He adds STORYLINES to the game...

I can't think what other reason there would be for not kicking the guy out of the game, or at least telling Lewis to reign the guy in after he had been in refs faces all night, plus the other shenanigans.

 

Amazing that half the defense can run off the field in which turned out to be a severe case of PE (premature excitement) not the other PE which would also apply being that they are a bunch of dicks....and not draw a flag but of course we get a celebration penalty...which by the way needs to end immediately it almost cost us big time. No more dumb mistakes like that from here on out..

 

Agreed. Gay danced for like 3 seconds and got called. Pretty ridiculous. Last TD he got he danced for a full minute haha. That **** needs to stop.

It's like the refs were scared of antagonizing the Bengals. That somehow the Steelers were making the Bengals shove Munchak, grab Peezy and shove a referee.

 

The only better end to this game would be if the play hadn't been blown dead, and Burfict got called for a safety.

That would have just been immense.
