I'm doing trivia at my wife's company's belated holiday party, and I toss out valuable prizes like candy bars. This year I'm doing Steeler trivia. But I'm looking for trivia a little out of the ordinary, but stuff someone still might get. Throw me what you can.

By the way, lucky me, this is scheduled for the same time as tomorrow's game. Yippie.

    Go Yinz Stillers n' At

In all honesty we did a trivia thread a few years back. Maybe spend a few minutes searching.

Another one that I like because it's so insane:

Q: The 1976 Steelers ended the regular season on a 9 game winning streak. How many points did they give up during that 9 game stretch?
    A: 28

That's a crazy stat there. 28 points in 9 games, and 16 of them were in one game. I strongly doubt any other team has had a better stretch of defense. If I recall correctly, we had to play with Mike Kruczek at QB for a few games during that stretch because Bradshaw was injured.

You're seriously going to the party and not watch the game?
Toss out the wife with a bag of candy bars and tell her come home after the game.

Here are some facts that can be used as trivia:

-In 1961, the Steelers debuted their cheerleaders- the Steelerettes. They lasted for 9 seasons until Art Rooney got rid of them. He thought they were a distraction.

-Our current logo was used in an advertisement for the American Iron & Steel Institute.

-Leading up to 1979, not a single player on our roster had worn another NFL uniform in their career.

    I didn't know this:
-Ed O'Neill (Jay from Modern Family, Al Bundy from Married with Children) was signed by the Steelers in 1969 but never made the final roster. He was cut during training camp.

Q; The Steelers only won 1 game in the 1969 season. Who did they beat?
    A: Detroit Lions

Q: As a kid, which former Steelers linebacker was nicknamed "Potsie" by his parents because of his pot belly?
    A: James Farrior

How many do you have & how many do you need?

Q: If the Heinz Ketchup bottles at Heinz Field were filled with Heinz Ketchup, how many fluid ounces would each contain?

A: They would contain 1,664,000 fluid ounces each.

Q: How many tons of steel were used in the construction of Heinz Field?

    A: 12,000 tons.

Here are some other Heinz Field facts...

Party is in a Marriott. Her company does not allow a bar in the room where the party is. But, they get a room with double doors adjoining the bar so people can go get a libation. I suspect a number of us will drink more and return slower.

She's put up with my crap for a lot of years and hasn't tossed me out. I'm keeping her. Plus, I anticipate her "offering" to get me drinks tonight. :)

What is the most talked about fictional character on thesteelersfans.com forum . This person has never played a game, coached or officiated but was instrumental in catapulting the Steelers to their 6th Superbowl.

    Q. Which member of the Steel Curtain was the Steelers team MVP in 1974?

    Q. The Steelers cemented their victory in Superbowl X with an interception as time expired. But who made the interception?

    Q. In stark contrast to today, 1976 saw four Steelers defensive backs elected to the pro bowl. Blount, Thomas and Wagner were three - who was the fourth?

    Q. Before Superbowl IX, who set the tone by staring down the Vikings players in the tunnel pre-game and telling them to "buckle up"?

You should include all of these questions in a row. It will confuse the hell out of people.

While entertaining someone the other side of the Atlantic is not your primary aim, it will really make me happy.

I think it depends on the depth of the knowledge of the people there. I know that if it were my wife's coworkers it would have to be something simple like, "Who was the coach before Mike Tomlin?"
