Disappointed, but would rather see him be healthy against the Broncos than risk further injury.

Well at least the other RB'S get to sleep on it and know what they must do ... It helps them to know sooner than later glad they went ahead and called it..

Last year it was Bell. This year it's bell AND Williams? Yikes. They better ask Ben to imitate Brady and dink/dunk all day!

The compliments being paid to Toussaint earlier in the week by his team-mates suggested they weren't expecting DWill back.

Apparently, Toussaint's main strength is his ability to stay calm under pressure. Here's hoping.

Please forgive me if I don't have a lot of confidence in a practice squad reject. Oh well, here's his chance to show us what he's made of.

I like what I have learned about Toussaint, I think he will handle himself well.

How about they enter next year with 3 rbs getting touches? Like so many other teams do. And I agree, I think the offensive gameplan for the Seattle game would be perfect for this game.

Has he officially been ruled out? The report I saw came from Ian "I can't report" Rappaport.

It's a big loss. Remember how we said Tate and Josh harris would carry the load for Bell last year? lol

Aye. The key thing is: he doesn't need to light it up, just do enough. Not let the game get to him, do his thing when called on, and basically not get in Ben's way.

I have seen nothing from Toussaint that tells me we'll have a good ground game. This is a huge hit to our offense and any other notion is just wishful thinking. Hopefully, Ben is money on Saturday and can carry the load.

Similar, but pretty different. Tate was signed days before the game. Harris was as green as it gets. The team had just lost Bell week 16, and he was a question mark going into the playoffs...

Ah. Sorry. I thought Rapoport was reporting official information, not unconfirmed reports.

Nothing to be sorry about. :)

I'd be surprised if it wasn't officially announced shortly.

And if he's blocking on pass plays, there will be pressure.

love the optimism but bagels are licking their chops lol. On a positive note, this makes sense and they will do better than expected.

My hope is Fitz plays with in himself then and doesn't try to be Bell or Dwill. Play your game, hit the hole with power and get what you can. Get three yards and let the chips fall.

So, while I think everyone would agree Touissant and Todman are a downgrade from Williams, does Halley? Will the Steelers try to outsmart everybody and have a run heavy game plan? I say they have to try to run to heep the defense honest, but they should also realize the passing game probably has the best opportunity for success.

Just saw this being reported. Not too excited but if he can't play, he can't play.

Fitz and company just need to run down hill, worry about pass protection and catch a couple check downs. Oh and hold on to the football. Ben is going to have to be really good for the W, or at least a solid game manager if our D plays well.
