If it were a broken finger or something.
But when your a running back your feet are rather important. I just can't see him going, it stinks because I love the guy
he is such a good team player, total opposite of what blount was last year.

Imo keep him seated, why chance Williams as a target just to have Cincy aggravate a fresh injury. He will be needed should they go deeper. The Steelers need to be hitting on all cylinders moving forward so i think they can take the risk sitting him this week. Williams wasn't plowing all that much dirt prior to the injury and with Fitz getting his feet wet he just may surprise us all in this one. With no Alfred Neuman and with the history of Cincy's playoff record makes this game more attainable. I believe Tomlin, but more so the team is jacked up for this one.

Note: The crow i ate this past weekend wasn't all that tasty. I'm glad the Steelers got the chance to move forward. Were in..let's win.

Even more terrible he quit himself to the Super Bowl, karma should have kicked in harder. Maybe it did as he is hurt and done for the season this year.

Tomlin said DwILL is characterized as day to day. Preparing with Toussaint and Todman as RB's. Not bringing in a free agent.

Even if he can't run he could still play a big role in winning this game. The plan is to save him for the 4th quarter.when we need a big first down we put D Will in the game, Burf-dick being the POS that he is won't be able to resist trying to twist his ankle off. It will be like a T-bone steak to him...as long as the refs don't decide to look the other way like last game, there you have it 15 yd penalty....first down? :hehehe:
    It's almost fool proof.

He did return to the sideline, in uniform Sunday, at least for a while. If it was a high ankle or something severe, I highly doubt he would have been able to do that. All speculation at this point though.

Tomlin said in his presser that it is more of a foot injury but didn't want to get into specifics because it's not his area of expertise.

I wore that exact same boot this summer when I had some trouble with my achilles heel. I still took it off to go kitesurfing then put it back on. The boot is good for stabilizing the area, but doesn't mean he can't walk.

It might be good strategy on our part to play the guessing game with Cinn. The more time they take preparing for our two backs the less time they can spend on the overall game plan. Time to kick some butt and take names!!

Toward the end of Hines Ward career I believe he used a hyperbariac chamber to help
in healing injury's. With all the medical technology available to these players, you would
think that something is being done along these lines? I think D'Angelo is a gamer and will play and produce.

Foot injury, he might be back, I don't think hes back even if its a low ankle sprain in a week.

Im more worried about Toussaint picking up blitzes. Heard he does that well, sure hope so.

    http://pit.247sports.com/Bolt/ESPN-DeAngelo-Williams-making-progress-to-play-on-Saturday-42631669

Four days after suffering a right foot injury, DeAngelo Williams is making strides in hopes of playing in Pittsburgh's Wild Card game against the Bengals.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Williams is "making progress" towards playing on Saturday, as he was reportedly walking around without a limp around the Steelers' practice facility on Thursday. Fowler also said that Williams is "working to get right for Saturday night in Cincinnati."

Fowler's report comes a day after Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL Network reported that Williams removed his boot on Wednesday afternoon, and was walking without a limp after wearing his boot earlier in the day. Williams was inactive during the team's Wednesday afternoon practice, as Fitzgerald Toussaint worked with Pittsburgh's first team offense.

Williams, 32, enjoyed a career rebirth after being released by the Carolina Panthers following the 2014 season. In 10 starts this season, Williams rushed for 907 yards (with a 4.5 yards per carry average) and 11 touchdowns while catching 40 passes for 367 yards.

Pittsburgh Steelers on 247Sports will continue to provide information on Williams' status as more information becomes averrable.

Screw that, DW need to toughen up like Bryant and get on the field... There is a whole off season for him to heal if we don't win anyway

Let him heal on his own time

I don't know if it's a case of being tough. A player can actually hurt his team's chance to win if he is out there way below 100%.
