Mario Williams, ngata, weddle, then resign Boykin, hope golson works out and just try to win all out next year. Doesn't happen then oh well

I checked and Weddle has 5 PI/Defensive Holding penalties against him in 124 games from 07-14. So... less than 1 per season up until 2015.

I'm assuming Pro Football Reference has no data for 2015 penalties or else Weddle doesn't have any this year which is unlikely.

Weddle has 13 total career penalties in those 124 games.

Hm. It must be that Chargers fans treat Weddle like we treated Ike and always acted like he was busting coverages and getting PI's on every play. LOL!

Is Williams actually a free agent? I thought he got a long term deal from Buffalo. I was actually just mentioning him because he has said that he doesn't feel he's properly used there. Really a guy going in to his 10th season shouldn't be able to command as much money as he does but I'm sure there will be somebody wanting to pay more than we can.

If the Rooneys spent like Daniel Snyder, I'd throw the U.S. Treasury at Josh Norman. I can at least dream.

Anyway, it will take at least one stud in our DB to get BB back to the SB.

Why would the Rooney's do that when we have Antwon Blake? That would be like letting Marino go again or something.

Call me crazy, but I actually like our corners, and I remain optimistic Senquez and Cortez compete for time next year. We could use a safety though, although don't be surprised Doran Grant takes the place of Will Allen next year.

It is all about pass rush... the OLB's aren't getting it done this year. Ol' Man 92 has been the best of the bunch.

I would like to see what Ngata has left? Also any accomplished pass rusher I would be interested in.
Of course any accomplished safety that can/wants to tackle.

Wow i almost forgot about cortez. Sigh, we have $10M tied up between cortez and mitchell next year. We really really need senquez to be a productive starter.

Yeah I love watching other teams catch those seam routes and our DB running after them trying to tackle them before they get to the goal line.

Well I won't call you crazy as you already did that yourself. Cortez Allen won't be on the roster next year. Golson will have to compete for a spot coming off a season ender. Grant is a corner. Not a safety. But yes, they need an impact SS and a corner. I do like Cockrell. Gay's time might be up and I will pack the bags and drive Blake to anywhere not named Pittsburgh. It would be smart to keep Boykin around and actually play him. He seems to make plays. Go figure. Bye bye Will Allen, Golden can handle back up duty. Secondary is the top priority this off season. Sounds like a broken record...

True the OLB have been a disappointment. And you can only go to the James Harrison well so many times. He is running out of gas while we have to see Jarvis Jones just standing there play after play. I give Dupree a pass but best come alive next season. Unfortunately Jarvis Jones will get another year. Hopefully Anthony Chickillo see's some more time next season.

And lets not give a pass to the ILBers. A disappearing act.

Heyward and Tuitt can only do so much...

I'd like to keep Boykin, but he is probably PO'd what went down this year. We will most likely resign Gay

He has zero picks this year and apparently the chargers told him they didnt have room on the plane for him to go to Denver for their last game, man they sure have dissed him and even fined him last week: This is really comical....

The Chargers fined FS Eric Weddle $10,000 for staying on the field last Sunday to watch his daughter perform in a dance ceremony at halftime of San Diego's Week 16 win over the Dolphins.
It was impending free agent Weddle's final home game as a Charger. Weddle was "stunned" and "furious" for being fined for what the Chargers comically labeled "conduct detrimental to the team." On Monday, the Chargers placed Weddle on I.R. "against his wishes" after informing him "there is not room on the plane for him" to make the team's Week 17 trip to Denver. Dec 28 - 3:37 PM

This is the kind of treatment Charger ownership has shown to their players going all the way back to when Gene Klein owned the team.
