Since the Steelers secondary was shown to be what it would be vs the Bills in that preseason game. They played the Bills in the 3rd preseason game, when the starters usually play most of the game. The offense didn't play a ton, but the defense did and they were torched by the Bills that day (I was there and they (Steelers D) was burned repeatedly.

I remember all too well. Their scrubs skooled us. I hoped it was the vanilla defense but no.
This team seems like a top fuel 1000hp motor- it could tear the pavement off the track on its way to break all records or it could blow up in your face in a giant ball of fire and twisted steel.

I thought the Bills were contenders. Haha Their third string qb came in and put in work on our top tiered guys. I didn't know what to think of it. Then they brought in every cornerback imaginable to work out. It stunk of panic.

    another bit of irony-

in 2004, the Bills had a shot to make the playoffs- just win and go in. In week 1, they hosted the 14-1 Steelers - who had locked up the #1 seed.

However, with Brian St. Pierre at Qb- and a then unknown rookie at RB named Willie Parker- the Steelers rallied to win, and the Bills haven't been that close to the postseason since I don't think.

I don't recall that. It's funny, I have selective memory when it comes to the Steelers bad games. (In the past couple years, I haven't remembered many games.)
I actually forgot we were even in Super Bowl 45 until I was reminded last season.
I believe that our secondary played bad in the preseason. I'm just hoping the Jets play as bad this week. They're due for a bad game. Fitzpatrick isn't that great.

You got a point. If I was there, I don't think I'd be able to forget either.

With the current talent level at DB what scheme would you suggest ? I think they are so bad we should actually run a 1-10 . Just give up all run plays force every Team to run and try and go GL D when they get to the 10 yard line...My theory is if we had 10 half ass DB'S out there maybe they could guard the pass like 5 decent DB'S could...
