Nix To IR, Fort Promoted

    FB Roosevelt Nix injured his foot yesterday and will require surgery to have a pin placed. LB L.J. Fort has been promoted from the practice squad to fill the available spot.

    I had the same thing happen to me yesterday - but it was from putting my foot in my mouth when I predicted a massive victory by Pgh yesterday and proclaiming BB as an elite QB. It's so severe not even sure I'll be ready for next year's opener. Could be career ending. I'm sure the fan base was decimated with a load of similar calamities including a fair share of head to wall concussions.

    Nix is the man, a very nice surprise this year. A personnel move done right by Tomlin. Hate to see him out injured but he'll be good by camps.

    Nix on the roster just pisses me off. 2 good FBs, 3 giant TEs and empty backfields on 3rd and short etc.

    It must have occurred at the same moment I chucked my priceless collectible Leg Lamp into the flat screen in the 4th Qtr. Never felt it. The winds were quite the story though - for a while I was fearful that the wind would blow my satellite dish off the roof.....and then I was hoping it would.

    We didn't feel it down here either. I read about it afterwards. My dish blacked the game out for a couple of minutes twice.......no other channels. Should have taken that as an omen.

    lj fort has been added to the 53 man roster in place of injured nix. nix has a foot injury. fort is a pretty decent player also. he had a good preseason and is a good ST's player. :cool:

    Nice pay raise for the young man..... Nix was a solid ST... Fort will most likely be active to play ST vs. the stains.

    Slightly off topic, but I hope we keep Nix next year. Will J has done a good job for the last few seasons, but I think Nix has more upside at this point.

    They're both FB but with a slight different skillset. WJ is a much better reciever out of the Backfield.

    I too like Nix, I like them both. Not sure we'll keep both next year.
