Salivating so much they ran out the clock with 2 mins and timeouts before half and didn't give him the ball in OT...

I agree 100%. I'm amazed there are fans that actually think the Pats were afraid of the Steelers.

    Two minutes?

Try 27 seconds and they were giving him the ball in OT, had the D got off the field (which they did, but were called for a questionable PI when they had stopped the Jets on a 3rd down).

Jets actually give NE trouble and have beaten them.

We on the other hand are regularly their pinata.

Brady would put up 500 yards against this secondary.

Why won't you read the article I linked you? You keep giving false information.. They had a 1:56. I'm done addressing you, you have to be trolling.

Steelers are the only team in the AFC that can out shoot the Pats in a shootout.

    They had 25 seconds

    1st and 10 at NE 20

    (0:25 - 4th) T.Brady kneels to NE 19 for -1 yards

Apparently the Jets and Bronco losses don't count then. Maybe those other teams won't try to get in a shootout?

If they didn't care - why come back in the 2nd half?

Maybe Belicheck wanted to make some adjustments. Maybe they thought they could break a run and if not, just got to half and get the ball. The Pats could have simply not come back down 17-3 if they really wanted to lose. How does beating the Jets at all help, even if the Steelers won, had the Pats lost, the Steelers still wouldn't be in.

The Pats ARE NOT afraid of the Steelers regardless of how much you want to believe that.

What I'm talking about happened at the end of the 2nd quarter. They had the ball with 1:56. Two timeouts. Ball at their 16 and were down 10-3 and didn't even attempt to get points. Do you ever watch Patriots games? When do they ever do that?

Because they didn't know if the Steelers were going to lose yet. They were purposely keeping the game close all game and then had to tie it up in case the Steelers pulled it out.

So what. If they beat the Jets and the Steelers win, the Steelers are in. Why not just lose the game from the start ensuring that no matter what the Steelers did, the Steelers would have to win again next week to get it. If they didn't want the Steelers in, they had no reason to come back regardless of the Steeler outcome. The Pats winning could only help the Steelers regardless of their outcome in Baltimore. If you're going to hurt the Steelers, you lose no matter what and never try to come back.

Waking up now I see that the Bengals blew last nights game against the Broncos. How long before Yinzer Nation floats the conspiracy theory that Marvin Lewis threw the game to further kill the Steelers playoff chances? Or better yet, somehow Belichick was involved in that decision too?:roflmao:

Rumor has it that Lewis got a message sent in Morse Code at half time that read...."Lose the game, Marvin. Neither of us want to see Pittsburgh in the playoffs."

    This is some funny stuff.
You can't really believe that the Pats lost on purpose?

Yes, but a conspiracy to avoid the team they have owned for the better part of a decade and a half sounds so much cooler!

You're contradicting yourself in this post. You're saying that the Pats scored late in the second half to keep it close but because they didn't try at the end of the first half is evidence that they were throwing the game.

Why wait until the end to "keep it close?" Why not try in the first half and not try in the second half if you're intent is to fix the game?

Also any tension between Rex and BB is a charade. If they Bills lose to the Jets next week, the loss will have BB's fingerprints all over it. You know he will have gotten to Rex and convinced him to fix the game so the Pats could avoid the Steelers. Damn fickin cheaters!!

Yes I believe trolling would be accurate. Nobody could honestly think this would happen for all of the reasons of common sense and JPP outlined lol

I do. When they come out and blow the Dolphins out this weekend and rest their starters by the 2nd half you will see.

Maybe to put pressure on the Steelers. Usually the Cheats are up by 3 touchdowns by half to teams in their division. The way the were playing just shows they were throwing it. 1:56 and timeouts down by 7 and not trying to score. But scored at will to force OT. They scored late in case the Steelers won the game. No harm, no foul when you can just give them the ball and let them score in 5 plays.

If they can "score at will" then why throw any game? Especially to keep a horrible defense like Pittsburghs out and get a better defense like the Jers in?
