Why are you bringing up Denver and Chiefs? It was Jets or Steelers as their potential 2nd round match up. Steelers offense is scary. The end.

No, Denver, KC, Steelers, Bengals, Jets were all in the running for the 6 seed going into yesterday.

Also, if the home teams in WC round win, the Pats are getting the Texans in R2.

So the Pats really had little control over their opponent.

Ughh, you really don't get it. It's was like a 99% chance the 6th seed was Jets or Steelers. They know we own the Bengals. It's just a matter of who would you rather POTENTIALLY see. Jets or Steelers. That's it bro. Simple as that. Read the article. Belicheat had the chance to do this one year the Steelers won the Super Bowl and didn't. Got the tougher draw Denver and lost.

    99% really.

The Pats own the Steelers in Foxboro as much if not more than Steelers own the Bengals.

If the Pats beat the Jets, the Steelers beat the Ravens and Browns and the Bengals beat the Broncos tonight - the Broncos are the 6 seed. The Steelers wouldn't even be playing the Bengals, since they'd have a bye. Is Belicheck pulling the strings in the tonight's game somehow?

Listen to Savran right now - thinking the Pats lost on purpose is nothing but ridiculous (his words)

You might be a little slow... What don't you understand about they have scoreboards all over the stadiums... Head coaches have headsets with communication to people that can see the outcome of the other games. They knew the Steelers lost. The whole point of throwing the game revolves around the Steelers losing.

Headsets don't work in New England :)

By losing.... NE is risking losing the #1 seeding.... sorry, this conspiracy theory makes no sense.

Hate to say it but I hardly think the Pats fear either and will destroy the Jets if they meet in the playoffs....just as they have and would the Steelers defense.

This conspiracy talk reminds me of the way the Chargers and Raiders used to accuse each other of underhanded tricks. WAY back when they were both relevant. The difference being that they're both in the same division and rivals. I doubt whether Bellicheat sees the Steelers as a rival.

I wonder if Russell Wilson and Cam Newton lost.... so that their opponents would get a worse draft pick next year?

I believe it. Why would you give up possession after winning coin toss

So you're seeing tonight why the Pats didn't throw the game. Assuming Cincy holds on and wins, the Pats (if they were trying to avoid the Steelers, as some have claimed) may just have lined themselves up to get the Steelers.

Jets and Steelers win next week. Broncos lose next week.

Guess who now becomes the 6 seed again and is lined up to play the Pats should they win at KC (assuming the Pats don't lose again next week, since they'll be forced to play for HFA next week).

Imagine the Pats beat the Dolphins, but Brady and Gronk both get hurt and the Steelers get in because Denver loses (something which Belicheck had no control over) and the Pats face the Steelers without Brady and Gronk. Yeah, I'm sure the Pats threw yesterday's game.

He didn't mean to give it up. I think he accidentally did it and Bill is just saying he told him to to keep from throwing his player under the bus. The reason I think that is because the player tried to argue that he didn't mean they wanted to kick it off but was saying he wanted it kicked off to them at whatever goal post he was pointing at. That's my theory anyway.

You do realize that regardless of the Steeler game, if Denver loses tonight - they're the 6 seed now not the Jets or Steelers (like the 99% you claimed), right?

Had the Pats beat the Jets and the Broncos lost tonight. Denver would still be the 6 seed.

The Pats winning or losing yesterday MAY HAVE ZERO impact on the 6 seed.

It's not just about the 6th seed. It's a matter of who you would rather POTENTIAL see. What do you do not get about that? They rather have the Jets in the dance then possibly seeing the Steelers.

Pats throwing the game is one of the more ridiculous things Ive ever heard.

Brady salivates at facing this team.

    Why?

The Jets have beaten them this year and played them extremely tough in their other loss. What have the Steelers ever done against Brady in Foxboro to make anyone think the Pats should and would fear them?
