How can a coach that inherits a great team like the one left by Cowher not win a Super Bowl? He should have won two! This team has gone backwards ever since he got the job. It was a great idea to hire a black coach (Rooney rule) but you had a better coach in the system (Bruce Ariens). I am tired of the media giving him a pass because he is well liked by the players and the press. WIN! Haley isn't the answer to replace him though. Harbaugh is at Michigan. Wouldn't that be sweet? Steeler's and Harbaugh pounds Ravens!!!!

What I meant is with the talent left when he got the job, he should have won 2 Super Bowls not just 1. He was a poor choice for the job and we are stuck with him for a couple of more years.

 

Yeah, um, I'm a big 'ol "NO!" on promoting Haley to head coach. I'm not all hot to trot on Tomlin, but Haley isn't the answer.

how do you know this was Haley's game plan? Is Haley the HC? It's Tomlin's game plan.

Good HC's decide what game plan you have and when your team of coordinators comes up with a dumb game plan... you say... NO. We're going with what got us here. Lets use the passing game to get a lead and if possible run out the clock on the ground.

The empty backfield at the goal line when we were saved by an off sides call was incredibly dumb. It was like Bruce was back again! Then after that play, we ran two bunch formations with no threat of a pass. That series of play calling was horrid. Luckily we scored a TD, thanks to Dee Will.

In retrospect, the Steelers should have retired Tomlin and promoted Arians.

 

If i know the rooneys right, they wont release Tomlin. Knowing this, i guess the next focus should be "what can be done to improve Tomlin" as a coach... which would be impossible for us as fans to actually do. Ohy, this is looking worser by the minute.

Yep and with that formation everybody knew they were going to run. Just horrible play calling and formations the whole game. Even worse on defense, where was Shazier the whole game and Timmons has played every down this year and he is tired and lost. Our middle linebackers were nowhere to be found today. Horrible defensive and offensive schemes today.
