Sorry Diamond that article doesn't match your thread title. Doesn't sound like either side cares about playoff impact and just about it being a rivalry game.

Make no mistake about it, the Steelers are playing in the Super Bowl the next two weeks. The Rats and Clowns would like nothing better than to knock the Steelers from playoff contention. These games are their respective Super Bowls!

News flash for Jernigan, when you are 4-10, you are pretty bad :ratbirds:

Having said that, better bring our A game considering how often we lose to bad teams.

I think we win though, we have Ben for a Ravens game for a change and no Flacco. Better win.

Doesn't matter who the opposing qb is I expect them to pass well. Difference maker here is Ben.

If we play decently like we did against the Donkeys this game will be over by the second quarter and many records will have been broken lol

Lots of really sucky teams throughout history have wanted to beat playoff contenders, but it rarely happens because they suck so much.

I bet they do. It won't happen tho. They are starting too many back ups at really important spots... If we lose this game it's because we beat ourselves horribly. We should beat them by 20+ easy.

When was the last time Tomlin had this team "ready" for a weaker opponent? I hope it doesn't come to this, but we should all be ready for a big comeback by Ben and company.

I'm not worried much about the Ravens winning the game. I am worried about them trying to take Ben out for a few games and ending our season that way. IMO it would be easier for them to go after Ben than to try to outscore us. Either way they would accomplish their goal of making their season better by ruining ours.

I would rather have them talking then silently apathetic so that we go in the game with some "umph.

Beat these bums and get on with it.

I am worried about this game cause we have a habit of playing down, however maybe this will be different. The one thing I want to see is us to get off to a fast start and get some of our guys the rest they need and avoid any injuries.

If you can't badly beat the Ravens while they are having their worst season ever, you don't deserve a sniff of the Playoffs.

Yeah how many times when we were going to the playoffs/super bowls did we lose to the clowns? It happens for some reason not sure why but man it sucks.

The difference between this team and teams of the past is the ability to score a lot of points quickly. I agree, the Steelers lose games to teams they shouldn't as if they become overconfident but this team is different in a good way. Last week they showed me something I haven't witnessed in a while, they came out flat and then dominated the 2nd half, normally we seem them do the exact opposite and sore big in the first half then let teams hang around and lose the game in the end. The key to winning is not letting whoever they start at QB to get comfortable, and for us to be able to run the ball at will, that will take a lot of pressure off Ben. I think we win but to say it will be a cake walk I'm not so sure.
