I took the day off of work and we went to see it at a 10:00 AM showing this morning. Great, great Star Wars movie. It was as good as I could have hoped for, and it had everything that the prequels were missing, which made it really feel like Star Wars.

Can't wait to go see it again.

Saw it a few days later on a 0915 matinée. Slow start, but it really brought the original feel back into it!

Man honestly I felt like it was a blast from start to finish. I mean it starts with the First Order coming in there raiding the place and burning crap down. Did you think Kylo made a good villain?

I thought he was great. I'll put the rest in spoilers:

I loved how angry he was and how he lost his temper when something didn't go his way. It was a great contrast from the quiet disapproval that you're used to (for the most part). I thought it was great how he was hitting his wound during that fight scene.

I totally agree on all points. It made him feel real without being super cheesy (teenage Anakin anyone?)

I predicted everything that I thought was gonna happen a few days before the movie came out and when certain things that I had said would happen did happen I would lean over to my wife and say "I told you" but when that ONE thing that's REALLY crazy happened I honestly just sat there stunned and couldn't believe what I had just saw. THAT was the moment of the movie that has stuck with me the most. I mean dude!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I didn't read any spoilers at all, and I stayed away from any theories, but that one moment was something I just expected knowing what I know about the history of Star Wars and the actors. I hoped it wouldn't happen, but I feared it would, and that one scene really stuck with me for a couple of days after I saw it.

I had figured out who Kylo was before the movie but that part I really didn't expect. I can understand why it had to happen but DANG!

BFT, did you see the TMNT trailer attached to this movie? At least you get Beebop and Rocksteady.
Still can't get over the creepy turtles though.

They actually didn't show it at the one I went to. I had embargoed myself from that movie because of how horrible the last one was. The first TMNT movie is my favorite comic book movie of all time to this day. You are right about the design. It is just horrendous.

I know what you mean. I just hate so badly that it had to happen. It happened to my favorite character ever in Star Wars. The next Monday I wore a shirt with him on it to work in memory of him. LOL!

Well I think he still can be in the next film at least since it will probably flash back to show the falling out that led to him leaving and going back to doing what he done before. I just feel so weird because it seems like you're supposed to always be able to imagine that somewhere in a galaxy far, far away he is still going on great adventures and being an all around bad boy.

Thought he was a really good one. I had my doubts in the previews, but it was a really good performance and it was a believable character arc.

It is. So is one for Boba and also one for the Knights of the Old Republic. Mads Mikkelsen is gonna be in it and I adore him with all my heart because Hannibal is one of my favorite shows of all time.

I really don't know that I ever will. LOL! It's like how the end of Toy Story 3 can still make me fight back tears after watching it countless times. Some things just leave a mark.
