Great opportunity for someone else to admit they may have been wrong.

Not at all, he's saying the PC thing but I still believe his heart was in the right place even though his head may have been screwed up a little in the heat of the battle.

    Pass the popcorn!:smiley1:

At least Wallace didn't do the burfict "i was pushed" excuse. Maybe a little anger management and some ice cream. I'd even let him get the sprinkles on his ice cream.

Watch the Tomlin and Ben mic'ed up video. Ben was pretty pissed at Wallace for the cheap shot

I think He knows he blasted the wrong guy and could have seriously hurt him in the heat of the moment, not to mention forcing him into Heath and rolling up his legs. I don't think you could be anything but remorseful. That being said I'm pretty sure he was really wishing he blasted the guy he was aiming at.

Saw that and the way Ben is yelling Cody it makes you laugh because it is like your little brother who is continuously screwing up and you are aggravated that it ruined something

Ben was pissed he lost his temper and gave up the first down they just fought to get. His "You can't do it!" was really a "We can't retaliate." You hear that sentiment as well.

Tomlin clearly knew what we've been saying all along as they flashed to him talking with the ref saying "They hit 84, they hit 84 he went native. He went native..." The ref even agreed with him.

BTW. Did you see Talib of all people saying Wallace should be suspended and there's a double standard?:facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm::facepalm:

IIRC, this fool still refuses to acknowledge he eye-poked the guy that everyone saw on live TV!

I saw the video and agree with Ben that it was a dumb thing to do, but I'll bet he understands why he did it. It didn't sound like Tomlin was too upset about it with his comment. In fact, he sorta justified it by saying "they hit AB and Cody went native". Again, in a perfect world Wallace would have been a good little choir boy and turned the other cheek but this is the NFL which stands for Not For Long when they hold up your number one player and try to knock him into oblivion.

Ever the one for great exaggerations, eh, Jack!

Not for long will apply for Wallace if he keeps hurting the team. Maybe he and Kemo can watch games together from their couch reminiscing about all the dumb penalties they took :hehehe:

This settles it for me and is EXACTLY what I've been saying!

Burton called the play dirty, but Wallace’s teammates said he was trying to protect one of his teammates from another perceived late hit that left Steelers receiver Antonio Brownvulnerable. Brown was stood up by several Denver defenders and defensive lineman Malik Jackson hit him from behind with a helmet-to-helmet shot.

“That guy kind of hit A.B. pretty late,” Wallace’s linemate, David DeCastro, said. “I don’t want to call it a cheap shot because A.B. was still moving the ball. That’s kind of that fine line. Unfortunately, [Wallace] got flagged. You’re protecting and you’re reacting. You see a guy fighting for yards and, all of a sudden, a guy comes and cleans him up. You’re trying to do the best you can to protect him.”

Wallace’s gesture did not go unappreciated by Brown.

“We respect Cody a lot,” Brown said. “He’s a leader. Anytime he sees a guy take a shot on me, he gets a little feisty. That’s the way he plays. He’s physical. He’s a great teammate.”

Your Honor, I rest my case. :hi:

Yawn, yeah, I'm just ticked he didn't do it to the players that take cheap, at the knee and below, shots on Roethlisberger then call it a matter of momentum. I'll let the usual suspects proselytize on the matter.

Wallace does it and it's a debate.

Lambert did it and he's a folk hero.

All in how and when you do it.

Intent has nothing to do with it. It's all in the presentation.

Whew. I know you weren't quite sure how to feel about it, so I'm glad you found something to sway your opinion one way or the other. :D
