How much does it suck losing that Ravens game? If the Steelers had gotten that one, they'd need 1 Bengal loss (either game) to win the North.

ESPN's machine can't be right.. If I simulate us winning out, bengals losing out and Arizona/Indy/Denver winning out and Seattle/Houston/KC losing out, it still doesn't give us the three seed.. And I don't even think ALL of those teams need to win/lose, just some.

Until everything is sorted out, I'm just going to root for the Cardinals tonight and hope for the best.

Yeah, it looks that way. No reason to believe Ratbirds can beat Bungles, so division is out of reach. Root for Bungles win over Donkeys.

I like idea of 5 spot if Bungles beat Donkeys. In first round we play Houston while Donkeys play Chiefs. Donkeys could beat Chiefs and in second round they go to NE while we get Bungles.

I like that if it happens that way.

Do the Patriots care significantly about #1 vs. #2 seed? If not, they have no incentive to beat the Jets.

They're not going to roll over for the Jets, of all teams.. They definitely want the #1 seed.

The Steelers beating the Broncos gave the Pats some breathing room for the 1 seed (they need only 1 win for the 1 seed)

They don't need to beat the Jets, they just need to beat either the Jets or Dolphins.

You're all assuming the Steelers will beat the Ravens and/or Browns.

Has recent history taught ya nuttin' LOL

They definitely want the 1 seed. They're better at home than on the road in the playoffs. I'm not sure how the tiebreakers play out if the Pats lose to the Jets, and the Bengal win out.

History has taught me that the Steelers have the most Rings and one of the best winning percentages since the merger. I always assume they'll win and history supports that assumption.

The Chiefs and Steelers, it comes down to common opponents the Steelers beat the Raiders and the Jets didn't.

Well, I suppose it all depends on one's definition of recent, but in the Tomlin era, here are the OMG losses:

    2007:
    wk 11: jets (4-12)

    2009:
    wk 11: Chiefs (4-12)
    wk 12: Raiders (5-11)
    wk 13: Browns (5-11)

    2012:
    wk 3: Raiders (4-12)
    wk 6: Titans (6-10)
    wk 12: Browns (5-11)

    2013:
    wk 4: Vikings (5-10-1)
    wk 8: Raiders (4-12)

    2014:
    wk 4: Tampa Bay (2-14)
    wk 10: Jets (2-14)

There are no gimmes in the NFL. But the Steelers have been especially prone to bad losses...the two in 2014 are perfect examples. Bottom line: nobody should expect these next two games to be "easy wins."

Hope the Jets beat them down, although they won't. The Steelers need to take care of business. Never want to see the Cheatriots win...

Sorry, but cincy isnt going to win in Denver, yeah, McCarren looked good against the niners lowly defense but who hasn't looked good against them, the denver D is going to go after him unlike any defense he ever saw in the SEC, winning in Denver is already hard, but doing it with a rookie QB isnt going to happen this week....
