Yeah my wife just texted me and asked me when we were gonna watch it because she wanted to get a special shirt for it. I would LIKE to get to watch it on opening weekend but man I bet it will just be so crazy it's ridiculous. Also did you see where theaters are telling cosplayers there are certain "weapons" they aren't allowed to bring? Ridiculous dude.

i was talking with my younger brother about how this presale on tickets basically kills the fun of lining up. His opinion is why would you ever lineup again studio exes dont care they just want their money, however theaters owners like the publicity

Yeah I mean lining up is fun when you are getting to hang out with other fans but nowadays it's basically a lost art. I always wonder why people even bother with all the black Friday shopping when they could literally just walk to their computers and not have to brave the sea of crazies and get deals that are just as good. I guess some people just like the experience.

new guy at work was asking me questions about the rumors circulating around the new movie and the plot. Luke goes to the Dark Side? already happened twice in the EU (Dark Empire I believe) Emperor is alive? Twice maybe more in the EU clones with his consciousness transferred via the dark side. Black Stormtrooper? Yeah Zahn pretty much covered that in the EU with non clone Storm Troopers. Pretty much all the rumors are stuff that happened in the EU so it makes me wonder why they ditched it just to start the new canon.

Another weird thing about them ditching it is that in the EU Boba Fett was resurrected but yet it has shown him in trailers. Well at least SOMEONE from the Fett lineage. I honestly hope that Luke isn't Kylo because I just don't think it's a good idea at all to have him go to the dark side. I wouldn't mind as much if it was a relative of Luke but for it to be Luke I just think is lame. You can get away with that stuff in books because it can be easily ret-conned but in a film series it's much harder to do without looking quite silly. I am glad that Boba is apparently alive though. Also do you know if the new films are gonna honor the Christmas Special? Maybe a special musical number? LOL!!! Please NO!

Maybe I'm confused....isn't Kylo being played by a actor other than Mark Hamill ? So how could he be Luke?

I have a theory, but I don't want to get into possible spoilers (not that I know an actual spoiler)...

Dude you GOTTA pm me with this. I love to hear people's theories and then see if they actually pan out. Unless of course their theories are "Ben is about to throw a pick 6 to seal the game..." in the first quarter. LOL.

I'm going on Friday night but not in 3d. I just don't really wanna watch a movie in 3d that wasn't actually shot for it. I'm just watching it in standard because apparently there was only one sequence shot in Imax. I watched Gravity in Imax 3d and it was the most phenomenal experience I've ever had in a theater. It was a perfect film for that though since it was set in space. There was space junk floating all around and it was extremely immersive. There was even a moment where Sandra Bullock cried and her tears were INCREDIBLY defined and just lingered like they would in space. It was awesome. That movie actually rules if you've never seen it btw.

Without spoiling anything, I will say that this one felt much more like the original trilogy then those lousy prequels. Glad JJ took control of this project.
    And, no lense flairs!

A few friends saw it and said it was great. I'll let the hoopla die down a bit before seeing it

It was. I'm glad I bought tickets in advance, because the lines were ridiculous. I'm also glad because I read a major spoiler without warning today which would have seriously pissed me off if I hadn't already seen it. :lolol:

There was a ton of college kids at the showing I went to last night because it was the cool thing. I almost be an adult and tell them to shut up. However once the lights dimmed, it was on and everyone was hushed.

I'm watching it tonight. I'm more optimistic after the rave reviews. As long as it's AS good as Revenge of the Sith I will be happy. That's what I've told myself to cope with the hype.

I just saw a guy that had to take his little boy to the bathroom and that guy was RUNNING because it's like 45min in to his showing. Poor guy! Lol! I'm in line for the 10 and it's pretty packed but I'm gonna have a good seat.
