Yesterday's pick 6 by Gay put him in elite company. He is now tied with Rod Woodson with the most in Steelers History.

Congratulations William Gay!!!! The once hated CB by Steeler Nation has tied one of its most loved.

We haven't had bonefide corners since woods on.Ike/Bmac was a good combo but never a strength. We have to go into the draft and be serious about drafting starting cb's

Nice part with Gay, when he gets the rare INT he takes it to the house.

our secondary needs work but at least the stone hands guys are gone. we had guys not too long ago that seemed allergic to the ball. coverage may suck, tackling may suck but at least when the opposing quarterback wants
to play catch with our guys we don't run the other way

Well back on the old board, Gay was the guy that was getting blown by receivers

So no one really hated him, maybe just jealous of him

Never bashed Gay at all.. EVER. I was a strong supporter of him on this forum. I like what he can do. Glad he came back from Arizona. In fact he came back more improved

As I mentioned on another thread, if you are willing to count the fumble return for a TD against the Jets in the AFC championship game, then he has the most defensive scores in team history.

And, yes, I do remember, he was much hated in parts like these during his first tour of duty. People hated Larry Foote, too, IIRC.

That is one of the funniest things I've seen haha he just didn't want to stop celebrating.

Gay is the man. He's turned into a really reliable corner, he does hilarious celebrations and by all accounts is a first class dude. I'm glad he came back.

Maybe now we won't have to deal that nonsense with fans saying Boykin is the best CB on the team, just because they got it from the media that AB told them that.

Actually Buss, he left much improved his first year under Lake. Play slipped just a tad after he left and then improved again once he was reunited with Lake.

If not someone bigger or more versatile then an average CB, I say Vernon Hargreaves III would fit great.
