Per PFT. Guess I can't complain too loudly; I missed this myself.

I was disgusted at the officiating yesterday. Every call and no call went the Bengals way except for the too-obvious-not-to-call hold on Whitworth where he had his arm around JH's neck, and the obvious call on Burfict when he blasted Nix 2 seconds after the play ended.

Yeah, we were there and the officiating felt extremely one sided.

Once again the officiating was suspect. Been happening too often this season. I was shocked when they actually called holding on Whitworth though. James almost never gets that call.

Yep...they were horrible. Missed - somehow - AJ Green kicking a ball in to the stands...but managed to penalize us for dancing in the endzone on a pick 6. Not saying we shouldn't have been penalized but how the HELL do you miss a ball being kicked into the stands???

The officials "missed" a number of calls that should have been against the bangirls.

    NFL officiating is terrible.

Must be hard to try and watch 22 players and not have your view blocked when every player is 250+ but the officiating used to be much better. NFL rules are added every year and lately they have been subjective ie. "Completion of the catch" and these bs "He hit him too hard so throw a flag" penalties.

We have all seen Ben get drilled low or high, after the whistle and often with no calls over and over.

I am sure the ref who said "Youre not old enough to get those calls" to Cam Newton actually said that.

Officials were crooked yesterday. Almost NHL-level bad. And I'm 41 and rarely, if ever, bring up officiating.

I like NHL officiating. They put away the whistles in the playoffs unless it is an obvious call like a high stick or a hook/trip on a scoring chance.

This was probably the worst officiated game for us this seasons. And mostly one sided from the start of the game to hitting Ben low, to no PI calls, punting ball into the seats, many skirmishes after the plays and nothing called.

Also if 55 didn't have a concussion then he was on drugs, as he was wobbly waking back to the sidelines a few times. Something is wrong with this concussion protocol.

I think after yesterday I hate Burfict almost more than any other NFL player, and that includes Tom Brady.

Of all the non-calls yesterday, the punting into the stands was most confusing. If he had done it on the field it would have been a flag. Why not in the end zone?

There was a time when I wished Burfict were a Steeler. Not anymore. He thinks he's a Raven or Raider.

He is a very good player. But, you can see why he was never drafted because of his behavior issues.
But, he is a very good player to have as an undrafted guy.

I disagree with this premise - they should call the playoffs and the regular season the same way. It seems as though they want teams to play one way for entertainment in the regular season then change style of play when it counts more - just be consistent!

They didn't miss it, they never call hits on Ben. I think we got very fortunate, it almost looks like the other Cincy player bumped him last second or he may have taken out Bens knee.

Burfict eclipsed my disdain for Thugs yesterday, I feel compelled to go paint that sob myself.

I agree the officiating has been awful this whole season and yesterday was the worst I had seen. Even if I gave them benefit of the doubt and they aren't actually throwing games one way or another, then the refs are not paying enough attention and do not know the rule book. No matter what the cause, these guys are getting paid to not do the job. The punt into the stands did it for me yesterday. If he didn't see it, didn't know it was a penalty, or didn't call it because they were pushing for Cincy, that ref ought to be on the chopping block this morning, in my opinion. Goodell has acknowledged the issues and I think I saw something a few days ago where he's thinking about switching up the reffing before the playoffs (whatever that means), but if he knows, says it, and isn't doing it right now, then I don't even know what to say. I'm so happy we won yesterday, but am utterly disgusted with this ref situation at this point.

Edited to add: and if there was ever a player that should have been ejected from a game, it was Burfict yesterday. The fact that they left him in to pull stunts over and over and over (never mind the pre-game scuffle) was egregious.

I remember it Burfict went at Heaths legs the play right before and you could tell Heath didn't like it. He was clearly playing with the intent to injure people. I know the league says you can't hit high but when you purposely dive at peoples legs for every tackle it's a bit obvious. Steelers could have blown Eiferts legs out on a play and they didn't. So karma was served with Dalton missing 6 weeks and probably the playoffs.
