It's still a long shot but with Dalton probably out for the next two games out West in San Fran and Denver and McCarron having to be the Bengals QB you just never know. The 49ers play better at home and Denver is going to be a tough game no matter who is the QB. So I know it's a long shot but the Steelers at least still have a pulse going into the last few weeks.

True, except for the SF part. They lost to the Browns

They are 2 back plus they lose the tiebreaker due to the loss to the Ravens. If the Steelers win out, they still need Cincy to lose to both Denver and Baltimore to win the division. And the Steelers can't win the division at 10-6.

Doesn't matter. Even if the Bengals lose to SF and Denver, if they beat the Ravens, they'd still win the division.

Only if the Bengals lose to the Ravens and Broncos. If the Bengals get to 11 by beating either the Ravens or Broncos they win the division.

To summarize the only way the Steelers can win the North:

Steelers must beat Denver, Baltimore and Cleveland. Bengals must lose to Denver and Baltimore. The 49ers-Cincy game is meaningless.

If all 5 of those things don't happen, the Bengals win the division.

If they win? That's a giant if. These are the Bengals after all!

I still have hope but I am thinking wildcard, not to jump to far ahead here is the real kicker. With our win today we may have set up a 1st round rematch with these guys.......

You really think the Bengals wouldn't beat the Ravens (as presently constructed) at home with the division on the line? The Ravens aren't winning that game.

What tiebraker do the Steelers win over the Bengals at 11-5 if the Bengals lose to both the Broncos and Ravens and the Steelers win out. Their division record would both be the same at 4-2, and their conference record as well would be the same at 8-4. So what is the next tiebraker common opponents???

Yea but the Bengals beat the Chiefs and Seahawks and the Steelers didn't so doesn't that cancel out the win over Arizona and that tiebraker all together?

Had we finished the Seahawks yes I believe we'd be in play... But we didn't and the air is getting thin on just getting a card at this point. No easy roads

What it will come down to for Strength of Victory:

If the Cards wins + Denver wins + Indy wins is greater than or equal to the Seahawks wins + KC wins + Texans wins, then the Steelers would win an 11-5 tie with Cincy. Those will be the 3 games that decide the SOV. Even if they finished tied, the Steelers will win the SOS tiebreaker, which is next based on NE and Indy will be the Steelers opponents that aren't the same as Cincy (Bills/Texans). The Pats will be far enough ahead to win that tiebreaker for the Steelers.

Bottom line is Steelers win 11-5 tie with Cincy if Cincy's 2 losses are both of their remaining AFC games.

Gotcha. You said Texans wins up there the thing is the Bengals lost to the Texans. Is strength of victory determined by the amount of points you win those games by or something else. How do you determine how you win the strength of victory over another team. A little confused on this one.
